  1. Waiting for your Sankokushin analysis, although I lower my interest based on their new big update.
The price of Cyberpunk game + vat + shipping is huge for what they have already shown. What a fiasco and shit show on the comments 😁

  2. Love the channel!

I’m puzzled by your Cyberpunk section which you conclude with “that’s everything I know and everything you need to know”. However you have not mentioned really at all that there is a lot of upset about how shipping has been handled on their last campaign Marvel Zombies. I was not affected by this as I didn’t back it but did back Zombicide Undead or Alive. I count myself fortunate that shipping remained unchanged for that campaign.

I do not expect that you take a view on it, as I haven’t either (as it didn’t affect me). However, I am disappointed that you appear to pass over the issue completely without even mentioning that the issue exists for some people. Again, I do not expect you to take a view as I don’t, but we can all see the many hundreds of disgruntled gamers’ comments on the KS page. I think companies such as CMON usually have many loyal returning backers and this may be one of the reasons this campaign isn’t doing as well. For me, the IP does not interest me personally so I won’t be backing.

    Again, love your channel.

  3. I like the mechanisms in CP 2077, the way the area control is handled seems interesting, reading the rules. But I know one guy in my gaming group wouldn't enjoy the dice roll for the Netrunner action involving the track, especially when it doesn't go his way..! I don't mind and may even like the risk/reward involved, it's only a part of what's going on in the game.

  4. Blech, there are so many of these grotesque miniature-driven games…

There doesn't seem to be a day that goes by when there isn't yet another IP being shoved down our throats…Don't get me started on the superhero/marvel/batman obsession…Really don't get the fascination with these…

Give me a nice crunchy euro with wooden meeples and a medieval city on the cover any day.

  6. It's bc a lot of people dumped their money on Marvel Zombies and they were in sticker shock by the shipping costs. I think CMON's goodwill took a big hit with that surprise. With general inflation and crazy gas prices, I think people are being much more conservative with Kickstarters … especially big expensive campaigns.

  7. Even though i enjoyed the video game cyberpunk 2077, i will pass on the ks board game. It just doesn't seem necessary to have that many characters. Certainly don't want to spend $200 on an area control game. The game looks okay, though i haven't looked into the rules and gameplay much.

I think they decided to put the actual shipping, so i don't expect that to change much. MZ was my 1st and probably last Cmon ks..

  8. CP 2077 – honestly I'm surprised it's got that much funding. Very little game and vastly overpriced, plus overcharged projected shipping (which we know will be even higher in PM), and a pretty bland area control mechanic…which doesn't even fit the theme of the game. I think people's plastic fetish is waning a bit, plus CMON hasn't earned anyone's support or trust in the past couple of years. I'd say this could be a wake up call for CMON, but I don't think they care. This was a slapped together project with no effort or investment in it, so it'll still make money. Plus they know they can always regurgitate another zombicide, MU, or in a pinch a Cthulu DMD reskin, and the flock will line up to feed.

  9. I’m sure there’s some lowered cache for CMON from the shipping thing, but I assumed that the Cyberpunk name just not being very good (both not well received and not particularly significant) was a bigger cause

  10. Liege – mistaken statement about solo mode being KS exclusive. The mode itself is included in the core game, it's the V Single Player Variant that is KSE, allowing players to play against a gang and the V Edgerunner team instead of the default – Johnny Silverhand.

I know it's fashionable to dump on CMON these days, but let's at least get our information straight first, huh?

  11. Cyberpunk just looks uninteresting, and people are unhappy about Marvel Zombicide, and the shipping already being so high means I'd be shocked if it did all that well. Crowdfunding is definitely in a low period right now, the BGG tacking area is the smallest I've seen since I watched it, and quite a few aren't doing well, although some still are. The expense has really shot up for these products.

  12. There is something missing with the Cyberpunk game. After going over the rules I am still unsure of how the game plays. Combat seems weak, although I do like the action selection mechanic. Relying solely on the Quackalope play through to give a people a sense of how the game plays is not enough. I agree using Table Top Simulator to show off the game is weak and hard to follow. A professional 15 minute overview of the mechanics and strategy would have helped me with my decision. Moreover, it seems the stretch goals only unlock Edgerunners. It does not seem that CMON is adding much else to bling-up the game or make it deeper in terms of play/strategy. The question becomes is it worth $170 dollars, not including the add-ons whatever they may be (if any)? I remain on the fence and will likely be so up until the end, but I think CMON should cancel and go back to the drawing board with this campaign in order to work out all the issues that people are raising.
