Not sure if you've seen this but since the new patch, you can control the music even on foot , see the indicator on the bottom left corner (Z key). If you hold it, you can turn it off.

Yeah, speaking while gaming is freaking hard. I usually react like a total retard when me wife asks me something while playing.
I forgot how much fun this game is. I do love free roaming and helping/causing mayhem. I haven't enjoy the story missions that much though. Too much talking from the side kicks during story missions, as I remember it…
It takes several shots with a pistol to kill the speakers so I carry a shotgun for them. What I wouldn't give for the Far Cry 2 silenced shotty just for that purpose.
After the mission is finished, executing the taken down enemies with headshots will give some extra XP.
Patch 2.2 being announced at 5pm cet.Grrrrr
