  1. Despite the fact that they had to increase the system requirements the game runs better than it did before patch 2.0, pretty much locked 30 on the steam deck preset. At least it does on my deck

  2. Many thanks for showing the fan RPM🙏 Over 7k must be very loud so this game is a pass for me since I try to avoid games with RPM over 4k. Very useful information, thx again! 👍

  3. Try xess on auto in this game. It looks a lot better than fsr. there's less ghosting and graphical glitches that appear in FSR 2. In the last version Xess ran a lot worse than FSR but I'm only getting minor differences in performance now which could just be a circumstance due to what was going on during gameplay and not the upscaler itself I'll probably test it out a little more but it's a huge difference in visual fidelity. Honestly i'm impressed with Intel

  4. Not sure why, but in my own testing I put the VSync to 30 and the game shoots up to 60fps. Probably a bug as I do notice some animations when V is interacting with stuff is jittery assuming because it’s trying to run it at 30fps but still looks good.

  5. Could you guys please confirm, does playing from microSD affect the overall fps quality as CDPR states it in their patch log? I was thinking about buying the internal ssd instead of my 64gb stick particularly for this game only, but if the frame rate is quite the same I’ll rather omit, because my 256 gb microSD is enough for me. Thank you in advance!

  6. My suggestions would be others: instead of caping max fps at 40 in video menu, turn it of and turn vsync on at 30 fps. And you will get stable 30 fps in every location without fps drops and much stutters. Also don’t forget to turn of steam deck’s internal fps inlay

  7. It is unfortunate that people suggest vsync on Steam Deck OS. Vsync is pointless inside of gamescope. This is already doing a horizontal (because it is a portrate native screen) frame sync at a kernel level which is much more efficient than vsync ever could. Dont bother putting a frame cap or vsync in game settings. Gamescope is far more efficent at it, and setting the frame rate limiter in the QAM works far better and is more efficent.

  8. im wondering which SteamOS channel your using as im on stable channel and im playing with FSR on and a mixed set of settings and locked it down to 40fps for smoothness and image quality on my 32inch monitor ive got hooked to my dock but ive tried a range of settings and ive seen 45-55 up to 80fps in some spots with minimized settings and using FSR, it still looks very reasonable on the built in screen that way. i havent seen this low perfomance since 1.63 on stable. a side note i do have cryoutilities installed and set to recommended thats the only adjustment ive made other then that im stock stable channel OS

  9. Very great settings advices. Thanks a lot.
Also I play with the builtin performances options.
And with your settings (custom medium 40FPS in game) to set steamdeck:
    – FPS limiter to off
    – refresh rate to 40
    – and vsync on.

Seams there is no much differences but better battery life. So I wonder if their is some smater way to tune it.
Did you tried something in this area?
