Cyberpunk was released 1 year later and despite its problems, I still enjoy this game. It was never good nor bad, just a perfectly average game. All of my opinions on this game will be discussed in this video.

  1. Yep, biggest problem with the game is that it's not what we were promised, not what was marketed. And that's still there in its entirety. It's more of a Farcry 2077 than Witcher 2077.

  2. Great review, I know its been year but ive been waiting for the next gen upgrade and some dlc so I can platinum this game…I have all the Ubisoft games and they all lack the depth put into Cyberpunk. I liked this game so much I tortured myself by beating in on base ps4.

  3. Idk I got on series x & I didn’t have any major issues but after a year I still haven’t finished any of my saves. I was waiting on DLCs & once they kept patching money glitches I was over it on console. I’ll buy it for dirt cheap on PC so I can use mods & then finish it but until they release DLCs or mod support on console I ain’t bothering grinding in a dead world like that. The world is beautiful but dead af, but I will say I like the dialogue.

  4. I found the hustles quite interesting not so much how you do them but the story's that go with them when you read the shards you find a lot of interconnected story or back story of missions

  5. It is enjoyable game with a good cast of characters but it deserves all of the hate. They lied about the majority of the features and even the genre of the game which is why they changed it to an action game later on. It is basically Far Cry.

  6. This might be a controversial take, but I think a big problem with the endings is how the way you go for Arasaka tower is tied together with the epilogue, and how the reasoning for one doesn't match up with the theme of the other. For me the ending was an absolute joke where V went completely out of character, because my V had spent the entire game being motivated not by money, but by trying to make a difference. To make the world a bit better for the people under the corporate boot. Any time I could reject payment I did, any time I could help someone in trouble I did, and any time I could punch corpo enforcers and corrupt, abusive cops in the face I did.

When I eventually got to the ending I chose to give control to Johnny because at that point he was my friend. We'd been through a lot of shit together, I'd come to trust him, and I wasn't going to trust Arasaka, and more importantly, I would not put the Aldecaldos in harm's way to save my own hide. This was a fight me and Johnny started and now I was going to give Johnny the chance to have one last ride, but this time not just for sheer destruction, but to save a friend. I thought that would be a really fitting end to his storyline. I also chose to have V keep their body simply because Johnny already had his chance. He lived, he died. He had his time, and that time is gone. His friends have moved on or died, it's over. I also believe that one's body, especially one's mind, is something no one else should have control over. From a pure philosophical standpoint I think V should be able to live their last months in their own body. Organ transplants and stuff? Sure, fine. But having Johnny take control of V's body when he already had his time feels deeply wrong.

So when I got to the ending the whole theme of it completely missed the mark as it wasn't even remotely related to how I had played V for the entire course of the game, and felt absurdly out of character. And this, unfortunately, extends to the other endings as well. Of the four main endings the Arasaka one is ofc a bad choice because you essentially become a pawn of the megacorporations. The rogue ending feels bad because V behaves like a money obsessed gloryhound, when that wasn't the story I just experienced. The Aldecaldo ending is okay IF you played as male V and romanced Panam, but if you didn't want the Aldecaldos to get hurt then it feels selfish to put them in the line of fire, and if you romanced someone else (like Judy) then your romantic interest is pretty much shoved aside to make room for Panam, a character you are not in a relationship with. Finally, letting Johnny have V's body is a whole swamp of potential philosophical discourse about identity and the self.

  7. I think people had a misconception about when the game was playable.
They released the game early because of the board members/investors, but in reality they already told us when it will be playable(2077)

  8. I played a pirat3d copy at release. On my gaming PC. Very few issues with stability. Some random T posing. I still believe this game should have been a PC exclusive. Trying to port it to every console and last gen hardware was a huge mistake

  9. Damm I’m so glad I didn’t have a lot of issues I played at launch on a Xbox one x and I only had the car load issue in the prologue cut scene and Jackie walking threw the elevator doors and the that’s pretty much it until after the prologue and only really npcs disappearing and frame rate issues while driving and that’s pretty much it kinda the same amount of problems as watch dogs legion at least for me

  10. CD project red did 7 years since their first announcement.

This game felt like it's rushed within 1.5 year speaking generously.

1 year later and hearing u, seems it still has issues.
It feels almost like an abandoned game

  11. Ah yes a "perfectly average game" riddled with bugs and glitches and basically unplayable on last gen consoles. Glad to see another youtube gaming commentator who knows what he's talking about

  12. Cyberpunk, and in all honestly most AAA games has become similar to politics, all you're getting are empty promises or lies.

Games aren't like what they were in the past, you don't buy a game that's been expected to be; you buy a vision of one, and in all honesty, it's such a nuisance, especially how people blindly praise the games that companies and "game journalists" feed them with.
Gamers are actual cucks at times, it's insane.

  13. A great review of the game, and I'm really glad you brought up the promises that the developers made. As much as I think overall the game being mediocre at best, the biggest punch in the gut for me was all the promises they made, was the reason I bought it. They delivered such a bare boned, watered down game that it felt more so, an empty shell with glitter on top.
