I had low expectations for today’s Cyberpunk 2077 stream but that was just hard to watch. 1.3 discussed, which again, is almost entirely bug fixes, and free DLCs, which are about as minor as possible. Man…

  1. I just want the executives raked over the coals by an interviewer about all of the lofty bollocks they talked about how detailed and immersive and choice-based their game was going to be, contrasted with what they shipped – making sure not to let them get away with any PR shit about how games can change during development.

  2. I wonder how Pondsmith feels about this mess. I was so hyped on this game during the original teaser and stuff. As it stands now I’d rather boot up a snes emulator and play through shadow run for the 20th time. I might even choose to play Hell: a cyberpunk adventure over this if I had to choose.

  3. I love that they gave us a respec in the same patch the rebroke a bunch of perks. Also what's the point of jackets?? The game is in first person only. Also they have no stats. The fuck is happening at CDPR?

  4. I had a lot of hope for this patch and “DLC” to bring me back to the game and want to keep playing it, but that’s it? 2 jackets, a car and outfit for Johnny? Yeah nah, not going to bother with it. This game is going to take a long, long time to get to a point where it will hopefully be a worthwhile experience. I’m thinking another 1-2 years before I could recommend anyone buying it.

  5. and there are still 'simple' bugs yet to be addressed, for example: if you press the crouch key in rapid succession you can end up standing with the 'stealth shroud' darkening overlay still active forcing you to crouch and then stand up to turn that off — such a basic button/UI/animation sync issue shouldn't still be present this far from launch

  6. Where the f is NG+? I’d love to do a second playthrough, but I’m not gonna start a square one. And this jacket is a joke…hello CDPR, there’s no 3rd Person camera in this game, what do I care what my character looks like?!? Such a shame, this game is a raw diamond, but at this pace they’ll keep on polishing for years to come 🤦

  7. It wasn't a disaster they told you exactly what you got sure it isn't much a few things here and there and quality of life that's fine at least they are actually fixing the damn game while adding new content I know of a few companies who would have seen the disastrous launch of this game and would've dipped if they made it I'm proud of CD project red for actually giving the game a chance it's no where good now but I'm sure if you're patient it will be a damn good game in anouther year or 2 and maybe in the middle of it we get one of the big expansions I hope they keep up the good work

  8. IF they drop support for it, then, IMHO, that'll be a worse PR disaster than a bad launch.
CDPR was that last dev where I told myself 'I will not pre-order games, except if it's from CDPR'…I'm glad I didn't do that with CP2077 (although I was already pretty skeptical before launch, as the stuff they showed in E3/videos, threw up a lot of 'red flags'), and decided to wait for reviews & first impressions.
I've yet to get CP2077, and I'll probably only get it IF it receives considerable improvements. Perhaps they should go back to doing free 'Enhanced Editions'.

One of the reasons I held CDPR in such high regard was because they fixed + improved their games regardless of the state at launch (e.g., the Enhanced Editions for the first 2 Witcher games; if memory serves, the 2nd one didn't launch w/ much issues, but the first one definitely did. The Enhanced Edition for the 1st game was almost necessary, not really for the 2nd…but it was nice to see. I kinda wish they continued that w/ the 3rd game, even if, like the 2nd, it didn't 'need' it).

In any case, I can wait. They can take their time. I would've preferred if they had delayed it (lol I remember people/'fans' 'shouting' down folks asking for, or saying they were okay with, more delays if meant a better product)…but, oh well. 😛

  9. yes it has been eight months but a game like this was never going to be a simple fix. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect them to fix the game first and add quality of life features rather than give us the expansions and the PS5 version before the base game is ready. the DLC's are small, but releasing small DLC's was always the plan, much like they did with The Witcher 3. unlike most of CDPR's marketing, the content of the free DLC's is one of those things that they were transparent about from the start, so I don't see how it was a disappointment.

it seems to me that a lot of people are still expecting this game to somehow become the hyper realistic, highly interactive sandbox game that we were sold at E3 2018. we're never going to get that game. CDPR are never going to turn Cyberpunk 2077 into that limitless Rockstar/Bethesda style of open world that a lot of us expected. Cyberpunk 2077 shares more in common with Mass Effect and other games of that type, rather than Fallout, GTA, etc. had CDPR advertised it as more of a BioWare type of game rather than a Rockstar/Bethesda type of game, the wave of disappointment wouldn't have been as big.

  10. the sad part is that people are still waiting around for this game to get better, its obvious this is an experimental game made for people to waste their time on

  11. It's pretty amazing to me how fast a company can go from hero to zero. In my opinion, cdprr is dead. This company is now just another ea/activation/2k
