  2. The Least Resistance ending is my second favorite ending, after male V riding off with Panam into the sunset to live out the last 6 months of his life. Least Resistance speaks loudly, every power broker is told to pound sand.

  3. Too anyone, feeling lost and alone, feeling judged and condemned. You are not alone. We as humans, are just trying to find our place and what we're supposed to do in it. We aren't perfect. Not a single one of us billions existing on this rock floating through space. Please, don't give up, you have more worth than you think.

  4. To my knowledge, this is the only ending that doesn't give you a trophy/achievement. I believe by this they tried to demonstrate the fact that suicide is not an option, or it is not a good idea, since it brings nothing to one, in this case, the player, and only brings pain to their close ones.

Massive respect to CD Project Red for this masterpiece.

  5. The calls at the end are really hard to listen to when you think of how that would be your loved ones if you took your life. Its hard dealing with suicidal thoughts but seeing something like that is almost like a wakeup call.

  6. Can't play Phantom Liberty, so this opinion is based on the game without the Tower ending. (my V is a woman btw)

I've seen this discution of what ending is the least sad or the most happy, and it's one of the hardest things to decide.
    – Suiciding ain't it, that's for sure.
    – Helping Hanako to beat up the other faction of Yorinobu is a pretty fucked up ending, you basically help Arasaka become big again, and like Johnny said, you lose a part of your soul and betray yourself, doesn't matter if you become a construct or go back to earth, at least no one dies tho.
    – Asking for help to Rogue is pretty devastating on Johnny when she dies. But either if V keeps the body or Johnny does, both are beautiful endings. V shows what she's done of to the world before death, and Johnny becomes way more mature and tries to do most of life (heck, he doesn't even smoke anymore)
    – Asking Panam for help is at least for me the saddest yet the happiest ending, people die but you get to live another life out of the worst city on earth (and hey, V may live too)
    – Then there's (Don't Fear) The Reaper… only one word – badass. V goes on a rampage, a speedrun for her life with Johnny. And at the end, no one has to die (except you if you die). And either V becomes a legend and Rogue has a great memory of Johnny, or Johnny keeps the body… which isn't as good. And honestly, I'm kind of mad that no one addresses the fact that V went on a rampage to Arasaka, killed everyone alone when she could have gotten help, and lived to tell the tale for other 6 months.

This game doesn't really have a happy ending for everyone, which I kind of dislike, I would've wish for a happy ending. But that's the point, no ending is perfect and that's what makes them perfect. They make me feel very strong emotions where I feel sad and happy. Just pure perfection.

  7. I started to choose this ending on my first playthrough. Tried not to spoil the endings, but could tell this was a point where choices could prevent an ending I'd want. Starting looking at the different endings and it seemed like not a single ending could be considered "the good ending." Felt like, no matter what you do, you lose. The only difference was how badly do you lose. I just wanted to choose the End Yourself ending and move on to another game that wouldn't end as sadly as a sack of drowned puppies and kittens. I'm not saying I want a "They all lived happily ever after", I just wish they gave us an ending that at least left us feeling content. But any time someone complains about the game ending depressingly, someone says "That's Cyberpunk." That's just how the Cyberpunk stories go.
