This fan-made video used AI voice technology to change Cyberpunk’s main character’s name, from ‘V’ to ‘Danny’.
Danny, who works at Replica, produced this video during one of our company-only hackathons. (Disclaimer below)

This video shows how studios like CD PROJEKT RED and others could use Replica’s AI voice technology, to insert dynamic values into gameplay dialogue.
In current games, close allies of a character would always use a nickname or pre-determined title (Dragonborn, Courier 6, Blue, V, etc.) to refer to them. The technology shown in this video could take RPGs to the next level with each character being able to address your character by their own name or custom title.
This could further extend into other variables such as hometown, occupation, etc. without creating a higher workload for the developing studio.

Replica do not offer access to CD PROJEKT RED voices to users of our platform. If you want this feature in your game, you can help by bringing this to the attention of CDPR and other awesome studios around the world so they can add it to their roadmap 🙂
