  1. I think it’s cool in theory but if they did that, I think the game would have been meme’ed a lot more and I don’t think the theme fits. Also you already start as a nobody.

In the PL (phantom liberty) ending its arguably the happiest ending because V can move on out of the rat race of being a cyberpunk/edgerunner. A lot of characters in the game that are more “CIV” (like misty and Vic ) already know that it’s not worth it and are content.

The life path you're talking about reminds me of the Eminem movie (8mile) where the guy he rap battles with goes to prep school but wants to look cool so he hangs with the gang.

I'm sure it could work but it would have to be really shoe horn in to fit with the overall theme

  2. Ultimately it comes down to dev time and resources

Remember this game barely had enough time to come out “playable”

I don’t think the devs had the time for more than 3 starting life paths

  3. So he wants to be Batman.

    But poor.

Civilian life, tragic event, becomes a badass who can do cool shit and has money which lets them purchase equipment and tech that gives them an edge over their enemies.

    Batman.

  4. I feel like it would end up lackluster in comparison to other lifepaths, simply because other pathways like the "nomad" lifepsth esssentially do the same thing. Plus, most of your life as a "normal" life would be the exact same thing as the "corpo" lifepath, becuase most people in NC are doing that exact thing, just with less money

  5. I understand what your saying but what your referencing sounds alot like a middle class.one of the major points of Cyberpunk2077 is that the ability to be conventially sucsefull is only obtainable through working for a Corp Everyone else is struggling. It breaks society into 3 groups the haves, the have nots, and those who reject the confines of their society living as outcasts, that's cyberpunk, the street kid/corpo ARE civilians in this society. You only have 3 choices, sellout to a Corp, don't sell out to a Corp, or rejecting their sedentary world view, all the economic opportunities are corpo positions or crimes wither joining a gang or robbing them, THATS cyberpunk, a 4th I lived a normal life option dosent fit, "normal" people dont decide to kill people usualy, a 4th path I think would work better within the confines of the world is mabye like a soldier or army kid, mabye V Or one of Vs parents were in the army that fits the world building and adds a new layer they could talk about hunting outlaws in the badlands or being deployed. It would fit the world

Or even like a checks and balance system mabye, like corpo beats military, military beats street kids, street kids beat nomads, and nomads beat corpo kinda like you could have dialouge that supports that sorta structure idk might be cool

  6. So what, did you wanna play like an hour of working at a convenience store before the game starts properly? The point is that each of the lifepaths had it in them to become a Solo.
