Lossless is useful when AFMF2 or FSR3 frame gen is bad, just gotta cap your fps sometimes and be in borderless windowed
when i run lossless scaling, i get artifacts around the crosshair of my pistol. Finally i gave up and just decided to use the in game dlss instead.
Lossless Scaling also works on video players playing locally stored videos. It also works in game emulators. So, Lossless Scaling has more benefits over what NVIDIAs and AMD's frame generation technology can do now.
Buy the RTX 5090. It has new 6th generation fomo cores with 248 fomoFLOPS
Lossless Scaling works pretty good considering the price and how often they update it. I wouldn’t go over 3x though.
Glad you finally checked out lossless scaling Froggy. I promise the quality of the frame generation is better than AFMF2. The input latency still lags behind a bit however. Like I’ve said before, it’s a great experience if you lock a game like Witcher 3 to 60fps and use lossless scaling x2 to 120 fps. I also run 3440×1440. Use FSR quality. Overall it’s definitely a cool open source tech.

To get it running on both monitors just go into display settings and set the second monitor to “clone display”
I did try out Lossless Scaling ages ago but wasn't for me
MFG on Nvidia will just add extra latency and motion Artifacts than isn't necessary for me

FSR framegen is actually the worst compared to afmf2 and lossless scaling.
If you pop a second gpu into your computer, you can configure lossless scaling to have it handle the frame gen while your 7900xtx renders the game with 100% utilization. To configure you must plug your main monitor into the second gpu, and your second monitor into your 7900xtx. In windows you must set you main monitor as your secondary monitor connected to your 7900xtx so that your games default to rendering on that card and monitor. In lossless scaling set your prefered gpu as your secondary gpu and for output monitor set it to your main monitor which is connected to your secondary gpu. Like you have in this video you will have the game displayed twice but the "performance" gain is worth it. Also within windows make sure your default graphics device is your 7900. Yes this takes some setup but when hasn't a dual gpu setup been a pita lol. Sorry i know this is confusing, another thing is that i recommend at least 60 fps as a base. Its falls off pretty quick lower than that, its best for high refresh rate monitors imo
its a cool software. im running it on an old gtx 1070 and its mostly great for emulators. in 3d games it gives me all sorts of wonky image quality and some wild mouse lag.
All I want is a RX 9600 or a 9600XT, I'm not rich and I play at 1080p I don't want to change my power supply.

I use Lossless Scaling but just the LS1 scaling part NOT the frame generation. If you have a 4K display and set the scaling to 1.7 it’s like setting DLSS on performance. Resolution looks like 4K and it doubles my FPS. Use Steam to show your FPS count in the left corner of the screen it’s cleaner looking than the Lossless FPS counter
