  1. something to think about, do you think if the release had less negative feedback than it did and more of a "hey yeah it's bad but we know it will be good once it's fixed" kind of feedback that they would see cyberpunk as something worth more time and money for future updates and expansions?

  2. If we ever get a Cyberpunk sequel one thing that needs to change is it needs to be a full RPG. Voiceless protagonist, choices, more in depth character creation, better factions. Because that was the whole point of the pen and paper game. YOU were the one in this world and got to experience it however you wanted. The issue with the game was that V wasn’t a blank slate you could RP with, the voice was too specific, the dialogue was too specific, too many references to events in their past. But V also wasn’t developed enough to be a real character. So it was just this weird and boring grey area where you can’t RP and you can’t really develop a relationship with the character. I think in a sequel they need to go back to the roots of the IP and make a real RPG

  3. Yup and just screw everyone who can't afford or even find a next gen console. Then GameStop is still only selling bundles for a ridiculous price. It's disgusting how they just left everyone who supported the game from day one. Now only one expansion but hey we get cartoons and maybe a graphic novel. Yay, so just wait until they complete the Witcher 4. It's bullshit and everyone knows it.

  4. @7:45, I think it confirms my suspicion that a lot of the development issues behind Cyberpunk 2077 relates to adapting the REDengine from Witcher to Cyberpunk. When you look at a lot of the bigger issues surrounding the game, namely the poor crowd AI, poor driving mechanics, poor police behavior, those are engine related issues. By using/outsourcing the new Unreal engine, that should in theory free up people from working on engine development and put more people on things such as quest/story design and overall game design

  5. I'd actually prefer a Q4 2023 expansion that fixes "everything" and extends the replayability of the game by just chilling in the world. If this game gets one expansion and one expansion only then I'd love to see the game end with a "there – its not everything, but the world is finally what it should feel like" with regards to AI/Systems and meaningful things to do after the game and since the beginnings were so generic across all 3 – maybe make the end somehow tie into each pathway in entirely different ways. So it starts weak but finishes strong w/ unique endings + a well planned new game plus to casually visit Cyberpunk in the future whenever you feel like it.

  6. Your coverage has become really horrible, good thing you haven't dabbled into more consumer products coverage. The audio explicitly said "we'll do one big expansion and work on other things not game related". Then you pop another gotcha game ad.

  7. CDPR FAILED with cyberpunk 2077 but doesn't have enough gall to admit it, good game for a ONE time playthrough. The amount of funds that were wasted on this game and continues to be wasted on this "franchise" could most likely, single handedly, solve world hunger.

  8. @ 5:55 The graph shows what we can call a "progressive" 'clean up crew' allotment, that being: the game was/is finalized in terms of future company resource/expenses, and the near-future market placement to a make-as-much-money on an exit DLC strategy. One could probably even figure that this decision was made by Q3 of 2021, if not earlier. It stings a bit, for all concerned.

Look to the stars, perhaps one day in the distant future the gaming community will get the Cyberpunk experience they currently crave, if not deserve.
So many lessons here learned by the community, & I sincerely hope the same for the developers.

  9. Imo they should at least give mod support to console considering old gen is being dropped and new gen is going to keep going… rn there's more reason to get a PC overall then anything considering consoles unlike PCs can be more expensive to replace in order to keep up…

  10. You have all the info you were looking for in the clip you played: this is the only expansion because they won't work on the game anymore. They got an agreement for the CP2077 franchise with the author for years to come, and clearly it is much easier to tell Netflix to make a tv show or a movie or make cheap mobile games and card games, compared to AAA games like CP2077.

They said it clearly that they are looking at other media, so I think the picture is pretty clear and make totally sense.
Then of course fanboy will continue to be in denial and hope that this will become a great game as it was painted on paper during the announcement… That will never change. Even No Man Sky is a better game after 6 years and still it is nowhere near what it was expected to be.

Just file your loss, the game as is now is decent and worth 20 bucks at best; move on.
