  1. I don't think we need to shed tears over "misled investors". More transparency is welcome and even necessary but let's not forget when pokemon go got big Nintendo's stock went up tremendously..until they reminded investors they didn't actually 100% own pokemon. After which Nintendo stock crashed.

  2. CDPR deliberately defrauded a lot of people, whatever local laws might decide. $1.85 billion would be fairer.
I was a fan, but I don't buy hype, so I didn't get caught by Cyberpunk 2077, or No Man's Sky for that matter. I won't buy Witcher 4 on hype, either, but I hope CDPR make a good game so I can buy and enjoy it later. If they screw-up and lie as badly again they'll rightly deserve to never be trusted again.

  3. I think it is a early classic case example that I’m sure will later change. Part of me wants them to take the financial hit but part of me hopes they learn from this mistake and they have been distributing updates and content. Somewhat of redemption but I do not know

  4. What about the investors being held accountable? They are the ones who wanted the game out yesterday & the heads of the company said "fine" & pushed it out. If the investors could have held their damned horses we'd have gotten a good game at launch.

  5. Unfinished released games damage the usa gaming market AS BUYERS HAVE A RIGHT TO PURCHASING A COMPLETED PRODUCT AND THE OWNERSHIP OF FULL GAMES CONTENT AT SINGULAR 1 TIME FULL PURCHASE PRICE.
IF THEY GAME WAS UNPLAYABLE THEN IT COULD BE CONSIDERED A MARKETING AND COMMERCE SCAM AND FRAUD.

THIS IS REBELLION OF US GAMING MARKET
NONE HAVE ANY RIGHT TO SCAM FRAUD AND CAUSE DAMAGES TO GAMERS TRUST IN USA GAMING INDUSTRY.

CD PROJEKT RED DESERVES NOT 1 CENT FROM THERE REBELLION.

"The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned. But neither the United States nor any State shall assume or pay any debt or obligation incurred in aid of insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or any claim for the loss or emancipation of any slave; but all such debts, obligations and claims shall be held illegal and void."(14Th Amendment Public Debt Validity opposes Rebellion and Insurrection and make all funds in support and aid of rebellion or insurrection AS VOIDED ILLEGAL)

  6. Cyberpunk is CDPR's most profitable game all time, by far. AAA gaming is dead. If you're still preordering CDPR's games you deserve every single bug and microtransaction they're going to hit you with. It is your fault and you deserve what you get. It will continue to get worse.

  7. Still waiting on the firing of the board members approving the release of the game in that state. Not doing so will simply lead to another situation of the same thing happening. This is a clear 'phew, we got away with it', the majority are back in favour lets move on.

  8. Probably the only thing to actually sting them even if the amount wasn't high. You know they didn't care about the backlash considering how many copies they sold anyway. The only way to make them take accountability and stop this from happening again is to affect their $.

  9. It's an investor lawsuit, which means they have to prove losses due to the stock dropping, and it didnt; not to mention it doesn't do anything for customers wither way. Frankly the piling on CDPR turned me off this channel before and 3 years later its still not dying down so good luck and goodbye.

  10. Unfortunately, $1.85 mil is pocket change to CDPR, thanks to the Cyberpunk fanboys that stopped the game from flopping at Day 1.

In fact, that next Cyberpunk expansion with Idris Elba, will be the test. If that comes out good, if they get that right the FIRST time, then not only are they actually learning, their future Witcher stuff earns enthusiasm.

But if it comes out buggy af, despite 9th Gen consoles being out this time, then they DIDNT learn & CDPR is just relying on their Netflix success(which is over on the Witcher's side of things because Netflix fucked that up).

  11. If they really sued CDPR because of that, they never cared about the company, the product or a longterm investment. They were in for the quick buck and got burned. No sympathy from me, welcome to the trade market.

  12. I really pity the devs, for all the pain they were forced to get through, and now all that overworking will be fined but not because of worker abuse, but because "you delivered a subpar product".

  13. Can Todd Howard and Bethesda do same for falsely promising prior to release that mod support will be there within 2yrs of launch? Because, I and assume quiet a few others, boughts the game for the sole purpose and in anticipation of mod support.

  14. I'm still amazed I completed this on the PS4 (Pro), really wish my first experience was on the PS5 in the current state. Still enjoyed the experience in 2020, mostly due to the cut scenes and story

  15. There needs to be tangible punishment for this stuff. Like a considerable percentage of the company's net worth, or directly bringing charges against the executives. Because this settlement crap is inexcusable, it's pocket change to these people. This coming from someone who ended up really liking the game after 1.5.
