As part of its strategy presentation, CD Projekt has announced that it has multiple new games in development. Although details are slim, the company did announce that a sequel to 2020’s Cyberpunk 2077 is in development under the codename “Project Orion” and will “prove the full power and potential of the Cyberpunk universe” when it is released.
Additionally, a number of new games set in The Witcher universe are also in various stages of development. These are all being developed under various codenames as well, and include Project Sirius, Project Polaris, and Project Canis Majoris. Beyond its two most well-known franchises, CD Projekt is also working on Project Hadar, a new standalone IP.
In its briefing, CD Projekt explained that it started a new “Parallel AAA Development” strategy this year and that it plans to also foster a healthy and sustainable work environment. As it expands its franchises, the company plans to be more transparent, boost its development abilities, and introduce more multiplayer experiences to its traditionally single-player games. Project Sirius
For Project Sirius, this Witcher game is described as an innovative take on the series that is aimed at both veteran fans and people new to the franchise. Currently in pre-production, it is being developed by Flame in the Flood developer The Molasses Flood and has 60+ people involved in its creation.
Project Polaris
Project Polaris is described as a story-driven open-world RPG built on the legacy of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and has more than 150 people working on it at CD Projekt Red. This game will be the start of a new Witcher trilogy that is aiming to be delivered within a 6-year period following the Polaris release.
Project Canis Majoris
A story-driven single-player open-world RPG set within The Witcher universe, this game will be developed by a third-party studio that will be led by ex-Witcher veterans.
Project Orion
The working title for the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel, this new game set in the universe created by Mike Pondsmith will arrive after the release of the Phantom Liberty expansion and will once again be developed by CD Projekt Red.
Project Hadar
The newest IP from CD Projekt, Project Hadar has been in “IP incubation” since 2021 and is currently in the conceptual phase. This game is described as being distinct from Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher and is being developed 100% internally.

Witcher trilogy isn't going to be about ciri… I know you want that but it's not happening. They already stated the time period and school the new games will be set in. YEARS before witcher 3s timeline. So it's not gonna be ciri because she has no connections to any of that.
Cant get hopes up. I am guessing couple of games are mobile only.
Hope if they make a direct sequel to witcher 3 then its Geralt. We lived Geralt and seen world from his prospect it will be hard to see all those charcters from other point of view.
Hope all the games are 3rd person
Are they Sirius?
Ceo quits cd projects and it’s a good thing
ever since the ceo ruined 2020 released and almost abandoned the game and almost giving up until anime came along and saved cyberpunk
I never played Witcher one so we need a trilogy bundle
Epic? It's like you haven't learn anything with CDPR announcing games too early and the cp2077 fiasco and yet you still be hype like a crazy 4 years old kids… again all smell fishy why not putting efforts on 2 greats games that are complete and high quality value but no no no, not with CDPR they will sell us five and more crappy, under cooked projects at full price tag just to pay back all those investors that was lead to think that they will triple or more their investment with the CP2077 adventures. Now they should paid those guys or they will loose every interest from them and sink like a boat… why do you think they announced all those projects with many not even started dev… they "rinse and repeat" the same pattern again and again but bigger each time to make more money on speculation… at this point how could you even think that they will deliver anything good at some point… they can't even respect their own road map for their missteps on their latest games they keep adjusting the map as they advance by scaling down the quality and quantity each time…
anyway it make me sad to see that some doesn't get it and falling for it. Acting like this make you part of the problems concerning developers getting out rush unfinished and/or crap bugged products cause you still throw them your hard earn money anyway and they know it…
so in the futur we are condemned to get more and more half developed games with tones of bugs and mediocre overall quality because we are surrounded by empty people with no common sense whatsoever and keep buying the every years COD project or throwing money at devs for cosmetic DLC… We are doomed, I predict a Videogame Industry Krach like in 1983 soon… Dev are so desperate they keep refurbished old games again and again and again, nothing new nothing creatives…. Next Gen… Yeah right! We are 2 years in it and they keep calling it next-gen… they still dev a vast majority of games for the last gen cause they have more sell potential for their games on it because of the installed based available…
PS5 and XBSX's sales stagnated this years a lot and each of those constructors doesn't meet their sales expectation for a variety of reasons, from COVID to Chip Shortages and World economy's Inflation that make harder to someone to budget those kind of expenses…
I could continue on and on and on but I think you get it and like you see, I do not expect good thing to come in this wonderful industry's. I make me really sad…
you are delusional dude, a game the scope of The Witcher every 2 years… come on… stay with us on earth buddy
i hope they make CyberPunk 3rd person. I still dont get the point of all that character customization if its in first person.
Wonder if the reason he quit was related to this
Not sure how I feel about this cyberpunk2077 launch was a disaster .
I’d love a Witcher universe game with the Unseen Elder Vampire as the protagonist! (Prequel)
Or even just a higher vampire – always found their lore the most fascinating 🙏
Finish fixing this Cyberpunk first! lol
If I were CDPR I would not commit to any timescale for new games. Kind of asking for trouble there.
Online Multiplayer gaming
In-game nfts, for fashion, cars weapons…
That'd be awesome!!!!
nothing but words for now…..
Given if they learn from their mistake from the launch of Cyberpunk 2077, and its current state now.
I believe those next games will be epic.
just don't pre order
It’s not going to focus on Ciri imo – there are too many different endings on the Witcher 3 concerning her – my guess is that your going to create your own Witcher in this new Witcher school then build your own character
Click click click……. bait
I'm a little bit scared of NEtflix witcher influence in those games
i assume its because of the Cyberpunk Edgerunners Anime!!! x,D
or at least its why i want to play the game! because the Netflix series is GREAT!!!! 😀
This multiplayer conversation stems from way back. People have wanted multiplayer in titles like Fallout 3 and Skyrim since they came out BUT the studios either refuse to do it or do it in the way fans aren’t asking. I’ve almost never seen RPG fans say they want PvP in the games when talking about multiplayer, they want the single player experience, with one extra player…
3 new witcher game 1 new cyberpunk and a new project- yeah im sure everything will end up being AAA… this is a bit worryingsome.
It's definitely interesting to see the cross media influence in the case of CP2077, in that the game itself hasn't dramatically changed that much since launch, besides optimization and a handful of new features/balances. One has to wonder what other brands may recieve this kind of treatment in the wake of Edgerunners success.
"5 good solid dollars" 🤣 love it 😂
Ciri in cyberpunk dlc
Cyberpunk 2077 isn't even finished.. I'm 31 the sequel will not be ready until I'm 45
Why do you think they keep adding new Witcher/samurai/Japan themed figurines to their store? I bet one of those new games could feature such setting..
