  1. The second half of the response is fine if rather vague, but that first half citing Elden Ring and Sonic Frontiers not having car chases to make the point that not literally every open world has car chases is so unnecessary and a false equivalence when the meaning of the question was very clear.

  2. 9:25 Limitations?! Like what?? GTA5 did this perfectly and that game came out in 2013. The Saints Row games and Sleeping Dogs games are another example from an even earlier time period. This guy can't be serious…..

  3. Honestly, I'm the type of person who gets annoyed when people talk in absolutes as well and will fight you on it instead of answering your question as well, so I thought it was fine that he responded that way. This has similarly gotten me in trouble as well, but I will stand by the opinion that people should say what they mean instead of just blurting something out then falling back on "Well, you KNOW what I mean!" No, I don't. I'm not a mind reader, you have to tell me what you mean. 😅

  4. The concept of a DLC roadmap (That's basically what it is) being delayed because you're too busy fixing your shitty game is the funniest thing to me.

  5. This is such a nothing burger. english is not even this guys first language, he was clearly just working out/processing the question as he responded. It is true that not all or even most open world games have police systems so as he responded he clarified that its just crime games. Then he went on to respond in pretty much the only way he could; that they wanted to put it in put couldnt deliver due to time and technical restraints.

I just feel like people dont respect or treat devs as normal humans these days and its kinda annoying that they get attacked/picked apart and projected with malice for anything they say

  6. no yong, 4 years is only not enough, if you basicly restart half the game, 2 years before release.
the world was probably almost finished when they showed us their 48 minute presentation, but there is a hint as to why the johnny story is so big, and how they managed to get it so wrong.
in the first 8 minutes, you hear the radio host say "1 year anniversary of johnny silverhands death".
so my theory here is, they had no idea as to what to put into the MP.
they probably had keanu for a cameo role, but then he suddenly had more time, and they had the idea for the MP.
so they probably migrated the immersive sim to be the future MP, in the gta online style, so basicly ruin the whole immersive sim aspect, because you can't really change a MP world believably.
they then probably glued together a new story as fast as humanly possible, cause they now had more keanu, and they probably thought that the star power would make us forget that it was promoted as an immersive sim.
around that time, they also changed the description from RPG to action adventure, on their socials, without telling anyone, but i've seen a screenshot from before the change, because someone noticed it and had in in their role.

  7. Honestly , if you look at how driving and combat mechanics work in the game , it seems like police car chases indeed wouldn't really work. I think they would need one or two more years the implement that without breaking the game

  8. Let's be realistic you guys lost touch with your community. Game had years of development and you guys shit the bed. Also really tired of hearing there cry baby ass excuses. Fucking modders are doing a better job then a company with hundreds of developers. Like stop making excuses and fix your 4.99 game.

  9. People are upset…. over this. Really. Get some perspective, this is probably not the guy who made all the decisions leading to the disastrous launch. Looks more like an at least moderately stressed worker, having to answer complex questions with a certain "gotcha" character on stream. Of course he cant get technical, most, me inculded, wouldnt understand and hes probably not allowed to go into real detail anyway, I bet gaming companys make a big deal out of company-secrets and stuff like that. Lots of words to say: Give the man a break, what he said wasnt even that outragous, I think.

  10. Yong, you have no right to talk about CDPR and CP2077. You are just as bad as them. You keep wagging the finger at CDPR because it's popular to do so, yet you shilled the hell out the game in your original garbage review. Your apology was bogus also. You have no right to criticize anyone at CDPR when you added to the hype problem. The difference is they have to live with their mistakes and you get to hop on the bandwagon. Pathetic.
