In a series of poor decisions, CD Projekt’s reputation has seen a dramatic spiral. What was once gaming’s golden child is now on of the most resented. Time will tell if the hard times will roll on for months to come, but after today it’s hard to imagine it not. CD Projekt has reportedly lost $1 billion dollars (that’s Billion with a B) due to the Cyberpunk 2077 fiasco. Furthermore, CD Projekt also has come into conflict with indie devs on its very own digital storefront. When it rains, it pours.

  1. I think you are making this way bigger than it is.

I thought you were talking about actual money, like cashflow. Important to the company.
The shares dropped in march way lower and are currently around where they were in december 2019.

They just rose in the anticipation before release and dropped with the dissapointment.
Over time they will go back (i mean, they kinda are back like to december 2019, just not where they were a month ago during the hype).

Sry but this is clickbait or even missinformation for me, cd projekt Red hasnt lost a dollar.
    Quite the opposite actually.
    Dislike.

  2. Why is this happening to nearly every single major title?? CDPR must have known of these software problems before the game released so why release it?? "internal sabotage??

  3. All these negative reviews on cyberpunk really frustrate me. The truth of the situation is people did not inform themselves of information that was given. They released a minimum spec sheet. And guess what? The minimum spec to run the game at the lowest settings are actually higher than the specs of a PS4 or the older version of the Xbox one. People had the information and chose to ignore it because they think their consoles can play any game. And you tubers like Matt here is fueling the hate for clicks.

  4. Dude I’m so low maintenance with bugs in games – I’ve legit never run into reviews this bad around bugs and crashing issues that have made me slowly back away and not purchase.

We say, “X was shipped as a broken/incomplete game” when we’re pissed with a developer for underdelivering on a game, but Jesus Christ man this game looks busted as all hell for consoles. No way I’m touching that in the state it’s in.

  5. Before no man's sky, there was the witcher. I'm not even worried. CDPR always gives back.

Some "nu medias" are just too orgasmic when they can finally get their dried abalone wet, and they went overboard with this hate hype, riding on the hate wave by twisting facts and single out cases they don't even understand.

  6. Developers: We would have never release the game in this state

CDPR share holders who doesn’t give a flying fck about a game and wouldn’t even touch a game in their life: No, need money now, release it.

    Results:
    Failed launched.

All the hard work that they’ve put in. All those crunches. Just to get criticized by people.

Hi CDPR DEVELOPERS, you deserve better. Thank you for making a game this awesome. You may not fix the game in a month or two, but I 100% trust you guys that you will fix this. 🙂

  7. Let's not forget the Polish goverment gives subsidies to CDPR. So no reason to push monetization or give in to shareholders. Also most of this billion loss is moreso speculative there's no guarantees some of this damage won't get reverted (i.e. people that refunded re-buying at some later point). I wouldn't take thair share price drop too seriously either, remember Tesla also dipped after Elon Musk was seen "smoking" a blunt on Joe Rogan's podcast. This is a very good thing for investors, I stocked up on CDPR stock. I still trust them, hard not to I'm just no over-exaggerating. I"m thinking of the long-term.

  8. This game was not finished. So, there is that. Also, the liberal resist, anti-America and capitalism theme was a s*itty propaganda tool.
It was rushed to fit a narrative at this time. Was that resist theme there 5 or 6 years ago during development?
This game had such potential and it deserves the review it is getting.
Why can't games be complete and fun, instead of propaganda tools and buggy messes?
    👎Political games developers play…

  9. Am I the only one that's enjoying the game? On series X it runs and looks smooth. I dont get it. All the hate was people playing early unpatched versions and on old consoles. I've seen no bugs in 50 hrs of play. It's an amazing game. I think it's just an attack against the company that the LGBTQ community started, over not having enough trans characters.

  10. Apparently everyone is into either studded cases for their glasses, or comically oversized ones. And those wouldn't even work. What's wrong with the good 'ol fashioned smooth cases?

  11. Lol okay Fallout 3 Fallout 4 Skyrim Witcher 2 Witcher 3 And every other triple A game that’s ever been made. Buggy lackluster triple A titles are the norm because idiots keep preordering games. What else did you think was gonna happen? Gamer hype is self sabotaging when will you fools learn

  12. I started this game with zero expectations, as I didn't really keep track of its development, and I've thus far enjoyed all 60+ hours I've put in so far. Yeah, there are some glitches, but I've overall been very satisfied with my purchase. Hate to see what's happening to them but seems to me like a little bit of candid communication woulda helped immensely.
