Modding for cyberpunk had a ways to go, but there are some good ones out there to try!
I currently use the vortex mod manager along with nexus mods. I’m not an expert at modding but was able to make it all work, and had some fun with it!

  1. Indeed, I love this game but mods have made me play this a lot longer than I would have and also made this game so much more fun. Partially because they fixed issues with the game and even increased performance.

    EDIT: Fixed typo

  3. Thanks so much for this! I've been modding Cyberpunk lightly, and I say lightly because I have a hard time finding mods I'd use among the sea of thousands of mods available for this game. So I will definitely be looking into most, if not all the mods mentioned in this video.
    But… just one thing.
I wanted to add this warning for the Car Modification Shop:
This probably won't happen to everyone, but this mod broke all the motorcycles in my game.
Yes, upon removing the mod and all files associated with it, the motorcycle issue was fixed.
The problem was, every motorcycle I attempted to drive seemed to get stuck in the ground ever so slightly. This made all the bikes undrivable. They'd wobble back and forth wildly, and spin out of control.
I wanted to add this here in case someone encounters this issue, so they know what's causing it and how to fix it.

(side note: I don't know if it's possible to begin with, but I didn't even attempt to modify the motorcycles themselves. so I have no idea why or how the mod broke them.)

    Thanks again for the video!

  4. I'm not that in depth with the cyberpunk modding community, but I am farmilar with Skyrim and Fallout new Vegas modding. The reason most mods are retextures and simple script injection, is because CDPR have not provided a larger comprehensive way of easily modifying the game, (that I know of) in games like Fallout and Skyrim, the creation kit and GECK respectively, make it very easy to directly edit game assets. Not to mention the maturity of community provided modding tools in those games. Cyberpunk has Metadata and tweakdata, enough for modify what's in the game already, but clearly not enough to add custom resources, quests, scripts etc to the game… yet.

So retextures and script injection mods are kind of the limit until more either CDPR introduces their devkit or the community goes ahead and makes one.

So I think it's unfair to say that modders only want to do the simple stuff, i'm sure they'd love to do more, but with the tools provided, theres only so much they can do.
