  1. I use the hypercritical in my pistol belt. Her majesty for stealth, Morian for when the action pops off. I use the hypocritical as a close range large damage option with also the ability to whittle down, stronger photos from the distance.

  2. If you could get into the rhythm of consecutive bolt shots, a 5++ Achilles with Wallpuncher had the highest DPS of any of the rifles. The only thing I found that could put out more damage faster was a very specific Overclock/5++ Paraline/Submachine Fun smart SMG build.

  3. Hypercritical might be the best gun in the whole game. You can reliably hip-fire with it, so I only ever use the iron sights during Kerenzikov. Sandy builds can just dash around and click heads like it’s going out of style. The only thing it doesn’t absolutely melt is max tac, but once you learn that they’re notably weak to car explosions, it hardly matters.

  4. Yeah nah. There are no precision rifles in this game anymore. There is A precision rifle and that is the SOR-22. Get tier 5++ gun add 2 mods to penetrate armor / or damage to elites (but armor works best) and the Jue long scope and that is the only option to go about playing precision rifle in cyberpunk in 2.1.

Everything else is at this point pseudo shotguns / grenade launchers. They were precision rifles back when widow maker came with a long scope by default and that was perhaps at early months after launch. You can't take the option to attach scopes from the guns and then have the audacity to call them precision rifles. Hell half the "snipers" are in the same state. CDPR did their damn best to kill both long range combat as well as stealth. The Kyubi and Overwatch are the only other weapons that come close to being precision rifles and Kyubi does not even benefit from the proper perks, while Overwatch has way too slow fire rate.
Precision rifles are supposed to be long range (that means long scope or even better sniper scopes), have decent rate of fire and decent damage. If those 3 guns were made to take sniper scopes, AR/SMG muzzles and overwatch was given 40% higher rate of fire and an extra bullet then we would have precision rifles. Everything else here and half the snipers that do explosive damage belong into a category of their own. XD

  5. Does the Achelies have built in electricity damage? I'm using it on a low level character with no perks in tech weapons. The Achelies causes blue pip numbers to finish off enemies and its unmodded. But nothing in its stat sheet says it causes electricity damage.

  6. Does it bother anyone else that NCPD isn't allowed in Dogtown but Max-Tac can be called in? For some reason that just rubs me wrong. Like CDPR could have taken the time to have a Barghest equivalent to Max-Tac for story continuity. It just seems like if a Max-Tac AV showed up in Dogtown they'd instantly have Barghest troops lighting them up before they could land.

  7. I REALLY enjoy the SOR22, wish this class was expanded on for sure. For an early game blunderbus the Widowmaker is always great. Its no wonder you have to do 18 or 19 Regina gigs to unlock the Little Mike one with Hypercritical – that gun is so much fun.
You're clearly spoiling us with content right now, really hope that 100k milestone isnt too far off Sam!

  8. I still miss the unique engineering choice to make it so the Widowmaker shoots 6 bullets in a consistent hexagon. I don't care so much about it being nerfed in terms of damage and amo count as much as they took what made it feel unique away from me.

  9. The SOR-22 never seems as strong as it should be. I tend to think of it as a 'battle rifle' rather than a precision rifle, and use it that way. The 10-round capacity seems very arbitrary (previous to my current game, I used a Nexus mod to give it 22 rounds).

I like the Achilles rifle, but a 'precision rifle' that doesn't mount a scope is simply an absurdity. Nevertheless I haven't modded a scope into my current game, as I want to stream my game with no gameplay-affecting mods at all. I have an aversion to using poison weapons, but the Widowmaker works pretty well as some kind of close-quarter shooter. It still feels contradictory.

Hypercritical is pretty cool, but again, no scope. Personally, I find the Nekomata works the way this class of weapons _should_. Gotta have a scope.

  10. Tech weapons overall were sadly nerfed and really made pointless (some don't even go through cover, or do less damage). Achilles was my favourite weapon in the past and will be humbly remembered.
