Edit: There is a greater untapped potential with the Microcyber and Tetratronic Rippler which I don't fully delve into here. I felt personally that playing a pure-runner with Overclock all the time left you very vulnerable.
That is still true. However, it seems there are specific methods here that CAN work frighteningly well! I want to do better by both of these decks and I will, in dedicated build videos, as well as possibly a new quickhack ranking, which shows off some of the most broken new combinations we can use!
Thanks for watching Choombas and thanks for Chippin' In with your suggestions as always. Your comments often help me steer the direction of this channel and figure out which videos are most helpful and ought to be made next!
I'm kinda curious if your lazy build is still gonna be lazy 😂
So my beloved smart gun build now needs to run a cyberdeck instead of a Sandi or Beserk … sigh.
fun fact: pizdets is russian for "fuck!" it is masculine of "pizda", which means "vagina"
by the way: blackwall gateway does not upload demons from beyond the blackwall. It just disables the blackwall inside your enemies unleashing the demons that are already inside them. Not that it matters gameplaywise, but it matters lorewise. It makes the world much more creepy and scary and the blackwall, netwatch much more important to everyone and in contrast everybody who pokes holes into the blackwall much more evil.
I'm another who was waiting for this video as nothing was clear cut. I started a new run when 2.0 came out and moved across to Raven, but do realise it's weaknesses in tougher fights, especially as I tend to stealth cyber. Might actually give the Arasaka a try now as the tracking is too much of an issue with the large scale stuff Phantom Liberty seems to bring (at least with the side missions).
I use the Tetratronic for my (smart) shotgun build. The extra ram + the damage buff is actually all that's needed to run around and kill everything on sight. Basically I cast overclock, use a bounce back, run in and use suicide on up to 5 enemies then another bounce back, cripple movement on the few enemies left into shotgun
It's a risky playstyle build tho (20 body and 20 tech for cyberware and adrenaline are needed to survive) but it deals insane damage and basically can clean about anything on very hard
I cant believe Raven was last
So…where do you get the Arasaka? Seems perfect for my build but it's ironically the only one you didn't specify how to get lol.
The tetraronic is my favorite cyberdeck as it suits my playstyle the best. I appreciate the list and also how you said it will very person to person, playstyle to playstle.
So for me they destroyed the only thing that made this game different from other shooters for me.
I will just stop playing now.
What are the best defensive cyberware mods? What gives you more bang for your buck, mitigation or armor?
Did they fixed enemy spawn mechanics? Remember mission where we save Evelyn? You can access cameras from the street and find her, but level itself is separated into sections and enemies simply not spawn yet in the rest of the level. So lets say this Netwatch deck would be perfect, you can pretty much clear the way, but not if the game cant handle more than 5-6 enemies at the same time. And most of the missions did this garbage starting from The Heist, it also spawned enemies almost infront of you.
I agree, hacking in general became less fun, especially later, closer to lvl40+ when you break your build and became superhuman, but I guess melee is much more fun now, guns are as broken as they were 🙂
so going in using both hacks and guns blazing is not feasable now? kinda shit huh?
The netwatch deck is really nice if you aren't heavily invested in hacking. It lowers the ram cost enough to practically hack vehicles.
just a note too it's not just extra critical damage it's crit damage in general since quickhacks can crit without the bioconductor.
also i ran the raven deck with contagion mostly fine through the game just gotta wait for the intial wave of hacks to go off then use it a second time immediately to refresh the dot and increase the damage
One of the biggest "Oh shit" moments in 2.0 was when I hit Intelligence 20 and could spread Suicide. Combined with Overclock and some decent Perks, you could make an entire encounter off itself in under a minute.
Guess I'll be going back to the Arasaka and keep the high tier memory wipe to bail out of combat.
Tetratronic Rippler, or the "watch me explode the entire room with contagion and a fire gun" deck.
The Raven Microcyber deck is my personal favorite for its ability to upload Contagion to all enemies within spread distance at once. Combined with incendiary grenades (guarantees Burn within range) to detonate Contagion (at Tier 5) and the Warning: Explosion Hazard perk (which massively increases explosion damage against enemies affected by quickhacks), you have an amazing "oh shit" move in case you get overwhelmed. Best case, you can hit Overclock, then do Contagion on 15+ enemies and then detonate all of them using incendiary grenades. If you have the Pyromania and Burn This City perks (from the Tech tree), you can potentially do this in an infinite loop, since Contagion affects up to 5 enemies at once, and Burn This City replenishes a grenade charge after 5 explosion hits. Enemies affected by Contagion are obviously already close together, and they don't move much while they're affected, so if you aim well, you can hit all 5 with one explosion and immediately get that grenade charge back. If you don't hit all of them with the explosion, you temporarily gain a lot of Mitigation Chance, which greatly reduces the damage you take in case the enemies you missed survive Contagion and start attacking again.
Overclock mode+Bloodpump+the one that auto heals you at 30 percent=hilarity
I really don't get this vid. I don't understand your playstyle at all. Combat is so easy I found myself increasing difficulty
So watching your footage, those visual artifacts seem like they are there way way more than I remember seeing before. Is that what the game looks like now?
I just feel wrong using any Arasaka tech
