  1. I think the ability to update after release has been a scourge on gaming. While it's obvious that it has some seriously great qualities (such as getting new content, bug fixes and optimization, etc) it's obviously not actually used for that reason alone. We have the largest game studios, the most devs, the biggest budgets and they still release broken shitty games. Of course the people who keep buying the garbage hope for and just know with a year of updates the game will be amazing! I'd say we were headed for a gaming crash like back in the 80s but I honestly think people are so fucking stupid these days that they don't even have the ability to see they are getting bent over and taken advantage of in modern gaming. Took me a while to figure it out too, sick of the feature incomplete games where the studio tries to nickel and dime the players for every possible thing. Can't wait until this shit catches up to the big AAA studios so they can crash and burn from their wanton indulgence of avarice

  2. Honestly depends on getting redemption. In my opinion if the game actually tried and the devs were serious about giving something they thought we were going to like and it kinda flopped then yes I do think if they continue to try hard they should but if it's like anthem and they try for redemption and it still is terrible then no

  3. I want to support a redemption arc as it allows the industry to invest in games that may have not been the best.

If we don’t support games all we will end up with is more Anthem and Avengers… games that cost full price, very little support and end up dead.

I rather see a game succeed and thrive and go on to live a good lifecycle than die on arrival. A worthy redemption arc is earned and it’s hard won as it is easy to see the bad in a game and hard to win the customers and new customers. I mean look at Halo Infinite and how it has not had a redemption arc and is two years old and lost 90% of its player base… and the halo community (or what’s left of it) say the game is full of potential so they are ready for the game to get good.
