Quest Director plays Cyberpunk 2077! #51

Adventure has led us to the end of Brendan’s storyline, we have done some invaluable work for Padre, and visited newly formed (and moved) Nomad camp.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world RPG that I have co-created. As I love talking about design, storytelling, and psychology in games, I have started streaming on Twitch and discussing it all with my audience.

My goal is to share everything I have learned over a decade in the AAA games industry, openly exchange ideas, explain creative decisions and encourage the next generation of game designers and storytellers to create.

  1. When I first bought the game, I was annoyed at the bugs and thought I’d never pick it up again. Then around when patch 1.3 came out I decided to give it another chance and I loved it. Then I found your stream and became even more appreciative of the story design of both Witcher and cyberpunk. As another youtuber skillup said, I am sure cyberpunk will become and even already is a much loved video game. Eagerly waiting for the expansion, thank you and the team for all that you do

  2. Awesome! Now I have something to watch tonight. Kind of off topic, but Pawel are you familiar with the Polish writer Stanislaw Lem? There is a new Polish studio Starward Industries (made up of former CDPR devs) who are adapting one of his novels "The Invincible" into a single player narrative video game. I recently read the book in anticipation of the game, and I am now obsessed with Lem's work. I have read almost 10 of his novels already over the last few months. Poland has some fantastic writers! First Sapkowski, and now I've been introduced to the wonderful world of Stanislaw Lem.

  3. When it comes to the Judy vs. Panam discussion… I'm on Team Panam 100%, but Judy is not a bad friend to V. She's actually a good friend, a very good friend. However, when it comes to the two of them, here's the difference: Judy is a great friend, but Panam is "Ride or Die" friend. As in, she'll put herself in danger to help V, regardless whether they are a couple or just friends.

  4. Love the stream, here every week. Love the game, play every day. Love the lore, learning more each day. Upset itd another week there is no news and no update. Very saddening this period of “no talk” and updates every 6 months….. I hope that gets explained at some point in time, Hopeful it will be because of big game changes 😃😃

  5. Thank you for the stream!
It's more than a year already of me watching you live, and it's become a good tradition 🙂 I hope to attend many more streams!
    Have a great week! 🤘

P.S. And I'll use this opportunity and say thank you to CDPR team for posting my little gift, I'm happy that you like it and it means a lot to me! Sorry for a bit of an off-topic but it really made my day and not only a day 🙂

  6. Liked and subbed.
I'd love to permanently own skippy, that gun really cracks me up
After 3rd playthru nothing to do so for now uninstalled, cdpr consider open up the side misions and quests for replay? There are some missions I'd like to do differently. Most other games have mission replay ability.
    Nice stream catch ya later

  8. As always Pawel, great show! I've been playing cdpr games since the first witcher (day 1), enhanced Ed, witcher 2 (day 1), witcher 3 and now cyberpunk.

600 hours in and I wholeheartedly agree with you that this is the best game from the team! In my opinion, better than the witcher 3 in just about every way!

World building and scale, character development, music, the subtle gestures, animations (even something as simple and subtle as the way Judy, Panam and Johnny looks at V) the mysteries etc. Just leagues above the witcher series.

  9. Played La Cage Au Fou , one of the Best Quests I have played, amazing how it smoothly connects it with the first Expansion from letters to diaries to the environment of the Trastamara Estate.
It boggles my mind how you carefully connected the parts of quests, starting from Catching Up with Regis to Marlene to Tesham Mutna in a way that makes sense.
That Gaunter O' Dimm theme while discussing the curse of Marlene with B was a nice la touche finale
I liked how it aligns with the Graph you showed at the presentation for Tensions in a quest and flowcharts.🤌❤🙏

  12. hi Paweł, I have a question whether van judy in the Chippin 'In mission is accidental or is there on purpose?

If we get into the van with the help of modifications, we will get a text message
