I used this method exactly in 1.3, I don't remember what I did before, but I'm sure I did that in 1.3. And 24h is enough to wait. To be honest with the new "skip time" circle it is more annoying to wait, used to was much faster to wait 24 hours.

Technically this isn't an Exploit, it's a Game Mechanic that's been around since release… the soda breakdown component selling thing was an exploit which is why you can't sell components any more.

Why not just stay at the Weapons dealer he has 28k after you buy the items and you only have to wait 24hrs for him to get his 14k back and you can buy more mats again to get it to 28k again seems faster then going to a 20k drop box that makes you wait 48hrs.
Just use a trainer or cheat engine…
Ok it is just farming.
After buying the mats and ammo from the vendors they have about 35/40k so just sell to them and they restock after 24h, makes each craft sell cycle produce twice the money and stockpiles mats faster than you can use them without having to run to a drop point, in the long run it save loads of time.
Exploit the game by doing an intended mechanic!
