There's plot from this. 1: Jackie is still in on the heist. 2: Dex has a backup because I wager he saw V as someone who'd be out. 3: Heist still goes tits-up, but this time Jackie gives the chip to V's replacement. 4: V continues on alone, finding out later Jackie got zeroed. 5: While looking for answers she runs into a cyberpsycho thinking they're Johnny. 6: Drops him, chooses either to kill or take him to Regina as one of the treatment candidates. 7: Finds out on the way (if she doesn't drop him) that he has the relic in him. 8: Sxxt gets interesting as she gets into intrigues with Arasaka and this cat tryin' to get free of the chip.
Honestly that’s what I said lol. Would have been a lot more interesting if somehow we still got involved. I could see Jackie showing up on V’s doorstep after the job goes bad and he gives V the chip before dying.
There's another option: Saburo and Yorinobu have a normal father-son conversation and set their differences. Then they leave the penthouse and while they're away V and Jackie sneak out of the hotel and leave the place entirely. Delamain takes them to No Tell Motel and they give chip to Dex, Dexter pays them and gives a little bonus for stealth. Then the game plays out like the early 2018 plot without Johnny Silverhand
