  2. Beat on the Brat is one of the most frustrating questlines I've ever played in a game – a big part of the problem is that melee damage ignores armor, so you're just as squishy as if you weren't wearing anything and the level scaling gets really out of whack.

Here's some tips for Beat on the Brat if you want them, since they only get harder and you said you want to do every quest.

There is a health gating mechanic to prevent you from getting one-shot. You cannot lose more than 80% of your total health pool in a single hit. If you can get combat health regen past that threshold (say, up to 90%) with perks, you can play defensively until you can take another hit. This is important to know as some of the later opponents can hit for several times V's total health pool, which gets capped by the 80% limit. Even a V fully specced for Body/HP.

There are other consumable types outside of drinks that can help – max health and stamina boosters.

Damage dealing cyberware like the EMP-on-damage-received you had earlier can be useful during the fights, even if it's usually a liability.

Since armor doesn't mean anything anyway (unless they patch it) having a second set of clothes loaded up with damage mods as a 'wrestling outfit' isn't a bad idea. Might be a good use for older clothes – you can always overwrite the old mods, you just can't get them back.

Gorilla Arms blocks should prevent you from taking damage even if you don't hit a perfect parry as long as you have stamina.

Since you're playing a netrunner, keep an eye out for the passive bonuses on Legendary Quickhacks as you get/craft more of them. Some of them give you buffs outside of hacking that may be useful for the fights.

  3. Good job with the fight, that's the way to do it, it takes some time but also makes them interesting.
I did the same afterwards, took the car and left them the eddies.
ps: that fanfiction is so good, the way it's written and all, perfect lol

  4. Save scumming is dishonorable, but I'd have been bankrupted by the Beat on the Brat missions if I hadn't approached them that way. Particularly since I tried to do them with minimal cyberware and hand-to-hand perks.

And in the end, the last guy glitched on me and I beat up on him while he was stuck in the corner and unable to fight back. Again, no pride to be found in such a win, but I was glad to be done with the quest line. Very frustrating.
