8 Reasons Why Cyberpunk 2077 (Might) Be Cancelled
1 – Cyberpunk 2077 launch underperformed financially (per their own expectations)
2 – It’s impossible to make this game run well on last-gen consoles
3 – Why focus on the single player game when the real cash cow is Cyberpunk Online microtransactions
4 – No matter what they do with the single player game their reputation will not be restored
5 – It’s a single player game, who drops loads of money into fixing a single player game?
6 – Their literally 0 incentives to fix the game for CD Projekt Red
7 – They are going to make a mobile game for Cyberpunk, which is a higher priority

  2. They need to move on and focus on the best multi-player experience. If they pull that off, they may rebuild trust for their name and add on some more cash via in-game monetization.

  3. Don't care for any future Witcher games. Anyone seriously think the people who made CP2077 will be able to release a decent Witcher game? Yeah fucking right…

  4. They have been doing that with Gwent so yeah.. But I would like CDPR to fix the mess with the sp experience and add some more DLC to prolong longevity with the single player mode since most people won't jump onto the multiplayer mode.

  5. CDPR can't "cancel" Cyberpunk, they're tied in so many legal battles and have to be able to show that they're supporting the false marketed piece of crap that Cyberpunk is. IF they were to bail on Cyberpunk they'd be fucked legally. If CDPR were to start a major marketing push for a multiplayer version of any kind, by pushing pre order bonuses and pointless fucking skins, it's going to be suicide for the studio. There's zero chance of this multiplayer push happening, and zero chance of any multiplayer coming out in the next year at least.

  6. like i wanna play this garbage in multiplayer, no thanks, they might as well let this ship sink. They lied, overpromised, and destroyed any credibility their company ever had. Maybe if they rework the game, make it a true cyberpunk rpg and add sandbox elements into the open world, they will redeem themselves. Otherwise all is lost. Right now the only hope for this game are the modders trying their hardest to make this game what it was originally suppose to be. And on that note, given what you have said in the video, it is likely they will abandon the game after bug fixes and moderate dlc upgrades.

  7. May be The ones who are chasing the money, shouldn't have forced out a game unfinished and so broken it unplayable for many, plus the lies to consumers. What did they expect. I personally will never buy any CDPR game ever again. Plus I'm still waiting for the Next Gen (Now Gen ) console updates. I never played Witcher and have no intention of buying or playing, whether its amazing or not. As for multiplayer what's makes CDPR think , alot of people will give them even more money for a broken game.

  8. Moving on with the idea of recouping losses is short-sighted. If they simply abandon the current product, as well as its active players who expect updates, why would anyone expect people to want to invest in their next project when they’ve already shown their lack of commitment? No, sorry, but this is a bad take.
