Rockstar is still making so much money from gta 5 online and they add new heists cars and buildings etc so I don’t think there will be a new gta just new updates to gta online

To be fair, cyberpunk remove a lot of the affect for performance.
Most of these issues has already been fixed, X should check the 2022 Cyberpunk version

This comparison is so unfair in my opinion, Rockstar spent many many years perfecting flaws and improving tiny details from the previous games and had literally THOUSANDS of employees working on the game, also they updated it constantly throughout the fucking 10 years since the game has come out
Thing is, CDPR had never made a game like Cyberpunk before, whereas Rockstar had made 8 GTA titles or so (mainline + spinoffs), Bully and Red Dead Redemption at that point AND had the highest budget of any title at that point (250 million iirc). Also, the comparison video is from 2020, right after the game released, so I wonder if those differences would still be there. Heck, I'd say, compare XBOX360 GTA V to Cyberpunk 2077 at release, that's a more fair comparison. GTA V in current day is nothing like how it was when it released.
Obviously, CDPR also had managerial issues where they pushed the game out despite it not being done. So for their first time in an urban open world (with a lot more verticality than GTA V I might add, which adds a whole other layer of difficulty if you know anything about game development), I'd say they did a pretty good job comparatively, especially now at 1.6.

I feel like this is an unfair comparison given how different both games are, obviously Cyberpunk could’ve used a bit more detail in the realism department but come on stuff like tired burning out or realistic ragdolls? These aren’t things that Cyberpunk needed because it isn’t a sandbox game, it’s an action rpg. Not to mention there are plenty of things Cyberpunk did better than GTAV
i can't even be mad at Rockstar for still milking GTAV 10 years later. the work that went into that game is insane.
all bugs aside i was super disappointed with Cyberpunk combat system. instead of being like GTA where you shoot someone in the head they die instantly we got a terrible level/stat based shitshow

but gta rely heavy on vehicles while cyber punk never ever relys on vehicles, only when travelling short-mid distances, and you never get in chases or shit so shooting tyres is useless anyway quite a shit comparison

For some reason I enjoyed CP than GTA V. GTA V was all bout fun and shit whilst having no interesting story to play with. I mean they should have done it like GTA IV or San Andreas. V really lacks the emotional part. I did encounter far lesser bugs on CP than this vid shows. Story, Characters were top notch. It did very well for a half baked game in my book. Props to CP. If you put GTA IV in this nothing could have stopped me from choosing it over CP.
I don't understand the point of revisiting this video? I don't even want to be in the position of defending cyberpunk over gta but there are too many problems revisiting this video. It's 2 years outdated. So it would be better comparing recent version of cyberpunk instead of the 2yr old one. Speaking of which, the comparison should be between relatively similar versions of each game. So if using footage from cyberpunk shortly after its release, it should be compared to gta V footage shortly after its release. I'm not saying cyberpunk would win between that comparison. hell maybe gta v was more polished with its release, I have no idea. All i'm saying is it would be more appropriate.
Apart from the video being cheap bait I mean comparing a game a week after it released to a game that at that point had been released for 8 years? Get outta here. People are already trading in one publisher for another. CDPR went out the window as the golden goose and now Rockstar is the one for people to BatChest at. I'm fairly confident GTA 6 won't beat Cyberpunk when it comes to a bad release. But Rockstar's track record is in no way clean. I remember GTA V spent two years on a PC port after release they kept delaying and delaying until it did release, and it wouldn't install if your username was José.. because of the é. Not even to speak of the recent GTA remasters, and the disaster that was Red Dead Online.
