Arasaka is enemy number one in Cyberpunk 2077 – but in this video I argue why you SHOULD join Arasaka in Cyberpunk 2077. Arasaka ending, worst ending, Cyberpunk 2077.

  1. Avarti has been soulkilled and replaced with a Corpo rat. But regarding the ending Johnny isn’t trying to destroy all corps he wants to destroy mikoshi specifically because of the ramifications it has on humanity. If you side with Hanako you inadvertently make the world worse. You aid Arasaka in reviving the dead emperor Saburo by “eating his sons soul” which paves the way for the ultra rich and powerful to become immortal at the cost of those deem undesirable which would be 99% of people. It’s better that this technology is destroyed than it to be used. You may not feel the impact of destroying mikoshi which the game doesn’t accurately displays it’s still important. To roughly quote V after you kill Forest Woodman Judy doesn’t feel any better and V comforts her by saying something along the lines as “ That man can’t hurt another girl ever again you may not see it now but the world is a better because of it” That’s how I justified destroying mikoshi besides my waifu Panam never sold out to corps so why should I.

  2. There may be technical issues in this game but I'd say this game is still phenomenal as we're actually debating about which ending is better. That's something rare. I believe it's only possible in RPGs.

  3. The bigger picture, you are correct. The problem is, in my opinion, just because things won't really change if you take Arasaka down, that is not a good enough reason to sell your soul to the devil. They have shown that even people at the top of the pyramid aren't safe from betrayal. They WILL take advantage of you and they WILL throw you away collectively, even if you have a good standing with the strongest of the faction.

Plus, being the only ending that has better chances of keeping V alive is the information we wouldn't have at the time of making the decision, so it's not an angle to work with.

  4. "Arasaka is good"

And unsubbed. If you call murder and subjugation for nothing more than profit and the delusions of a madman who literally thinks hes a god "good" you either didnt pay attention to anything or are a massive gonk.

Then again this guy is a pretentious brit.

  5. Sometimes even when a fight is meaningless, and your opponent is too large, fighting may still be the honorable path. Arasaka is too large to destroy and even if it was destroyed… some other evil will take its place. But you cant really get mad at a guy for choosing to go down fighting Evil. – This is Dr Viktors final bit of wisdom that he passes onto V if you ask him about the fight he kept watching on the TV before you leave his clinic for the final time.

  6. Tbh I'd rather live out 6 months with people I know and love rather than wake up in a different body god knows how many years down the line and know literally nobody but live a normal human lifespan.

  7. I would acctually argue that the Arasaka ending is best in terms of longevity for V. Sure the Nomad one is happy, Johnny one ensures the body isnt wasted in both V has no chance.

Atleast with Arasaka there is a good chance that in the future V will be able to come back and live and with friends like Temruka his chance of life only increase as he guards the CFO of the company.

  8. I didn't choose Arasaka because of Judy and Panam, but I was really tempted since I hated Johnny so damn much. It's so sad that Keanu gave his face and voice to such a detestable piece of human filth, every interaction was so annyoing I couldn't help but hate his guts.

  9. I agree, it should also be mentioned that V is responsible for his situation in the game, if V had not chosen to steal from Arasaka in the first place, he wouldn't be dying, Johnny blaming the situation on Arasaka is amusing. I don't actually think that Arasaka did anything wrong in the first place, Johnny was a terrorist who killed thousands and ultimately, he got what he deserved. V, Jackie, T-Bug and Dexter DeShawn were complete idiots for trying to steal from them and bear the responsibility for their actions. The fact that Arasaka are even willing to save you in the first place shows that they aren't just evil, and while they might have done some bad things in the past. I also believe they intend to honour their deal to find V a new body since they had plenty of opportunities to steal V's soul and could have easily gotten away with it, but they didn't.

  10. Your point about Arasaka being helpful to people like Goro I feel like is wrong. V mentions that the slums Goro lived in could've been developed with Arasaka resources yet they choose not to. Yes they've done good for singular people but to whole communities living like shit, they haven't done much. Furthermore, once V is in MIkoshi in the Arasaka ending, there's no guarantee of freedom or a new body or anything. WIth Mikoshi existing it only benefits the uber rich and keeps them ruling with an iron fist over the world. BY destroying Mikoshi, you set back development years for that tech and that tech goes back to square one once V or Johnny dies.

  11. Hell yeah! I knew joining the corps was not a bad choice. Just because you didn't get your way in the end doesn't mean they're at fault.
You were the one who stole from them without knowing what it is your were stealing.
Jackie inserted that stupid chip in your head without knowing it would kill you.
V was the idiot for trying to steal from the mega-corp. You think doing something that stupid won't come back and bite you in the ass?
The same goes for Panam. Oh! Please do a Panam's an idiot. Because I find her to be a damn idiot.

  12. The only reason why this ending in my view is the worst is that effectively you give Arasaka what they want and basically undo the original thing you set out to do in the beginning effectively making Jackie's death meaningless and to some extent betraying him. Sure there most likely will be the possibility with other endings that Arasaka still ends up creating the tech tho in that instance it will take them time to gain it.

As for classifying the other endings the best/most hopeful ending would be the star, followed by the sun then the temperance. The suicide ending, I would consider the saddest ending of the game due to V giving up without even trying to do anything and ends up hurting the people around them not physically, but emotionally.

  13. I thought from the first second that Johnny is close to what the terrorists from 911 are.
Crashing into the World Trade Center did hurt a lot of people and killed a lot. But as you can see, 20 years later it didn't change anything.

  14. So what your saying is, join Arasaka and you may survive, maybe. Or be free and enjoy your last months on Earth however you want. I would choose option B every time. Don't want to be a slave to Arasaka, and remember, they may not even fix you.

  15. You call Saburo the devil himself and also says that the ending that revives him is good… I don’t get the point… the other 2 endings cause a massive bloodshed but at least keeps him out of this world.
I think the point in this game is to do the best for yourself, since the world don’t give a fuck about it anyway

  16. Look, at the end of the day, at least corporations are useful to an end, people should worry more about mutual benefit rather than fuck the corpos.

Also, if the corporations control the police military and courts they are the government, laws are just letters to Santa Claus without the power to enforce them.

Id say the best way to approach this is to work with the corpos to create an overall better future, i read some comments below about how the corpos don't help people who are below them, but that's not even desirable, "helping" people without them earning it, is just gonna lead to bitter resentful people that don't know nothing, you don't teach them a skill, you just give them money, that's not how you lift someone above poverty, you are just wasting money in a black hold of resources, what you need to do is teach people, rather than give money for nothing.

At the end of the day, anarchy is not desirable, and not even realistic, after some time forms of government always sprout, because people don't wanna live fearing for their lives everyday, so some form of rule is established. And the problem is that usually after anarchy it's corrupt forms of government that arise.

I think Takemura overall has the best views, the corpos are not perfect, but they are the better alternative, and rather than dismantling them you should worry about how to improve them, corporations don't live in a bubble, they need people to create things, they need people to buy stuff, otherwise they don't exist. A corporation is just a piece of paper without the people to make it up, so the problem is not the corpo, but rather the people.

  17. its a shame v won't live but then again who does.you might have guessed this is a blade runner reference.blade runner 2049 expands the nexus models putting rachael into a seperate class.if we insert this into cyberpunk 2077 the relic is a custom build and as such 6 months for v could be false.if we go with panams story it could be compared with deckard and rachael leaving together in blade runner.

  18. The story obviously reflects adjusting to the real world, so in that sense I find the joining Arasaka option, although it is the more pragmatic and realist option, also apathetic. The story is extremely nihilistic, something I struggle with, so I guess I would've hoped for a more romantic ending to the story. It ended up being very depressing.

  19. I want to point out that when you connect to Alt in everything but Arasaka ending, she copies your consciousnes into the mikoshi main frame and transfer Johhnys engram as well, so technically, your real organic consciousness dies with Alt, what goes back into your dying 6 month body is a copy of you, an AI, a perfect one, but a copy, fucking code, not your real consciousness produced by your brain which means that in Arasaka's ending, the real you is still alive since they shred Johnnys engram and stop his tech from taking over your body, you will still die in 6 months but it will be you in your body rather than a perfect AI.

  20. the real fight in Cyberpunk is between humans and rogue AIs. Saburo is the champion of humanity, who wishes for immortality like all humans. The enemy is Alt Cunningham, who has no care for humanity and wants the rogue AI to rule the world. when you storm Mikoshi for the ending. you effectively take out all the control humanity had over rogue AIs. Saburo had a lot of people's consciousness working for him, and now those consciousnesses are going to work for the AIs against humanity.

  21. A small detail that makes even this ending questionable in terms of V's survival, in Offer that Helman or Takemura gives you the very 1st agreement is that "Owner of your construct have all rights to delete you" that's it, Hanako forgot about V in a week or so, the guy that helped her with Yorinobu business, what are the odds of Arasaka actualy find body for V to return to, and not just delete him in like …6 months? So in a way that ending says "V goes into digital prison like Johnny, and instead of dying as a free person, he was just deleted from existance, coz corpo's are bad"

  22. I can't help but make my nomad character look exactly like Arasaka security/field operatives after beating the game. It helps that the SUV you can buy is pretty much an Arasaka vehicle minus the logos and sporting a red pushbar.

  23. You are a bend over ey, well in a world of cyberpunk where human life isnt as valuable why then would you not pluck everyone in you way or wake, why let a supercorp have its way when you can take it down, and dont forget the fine writing that Arasaka can run your ingram when ever they want and get all your info, after Arasaka "save" your life you are just another Adam Smasher, let them get its own medicine even if it dosnt change the world, in that setting, i would slaughter everyone to have 6 months. Regards

  24. Out of all endings this is the one where V's life is most certain, even if you don't sign up with the secure your soul program hanako still gives you an option if you change your mind.
Other than that, this is the only good ending (not invluding the secret) where you don't get any of your friends killed. When Johnny starts talking shit about the "Principle", he was just full of shit because he couldn't admit he was wrong.
And the way they made it seem as if it is the bad ending is just a way of CDPR saying that you chose the best ending. That is just (probably) a way of making all the endings equally bad.
Same thing was in Blood and Wine.
