  1. I dunno. I know people are super gungho about saving So Mi, but ultimately V is also dying. And like she says to Johnny, this is a GUARANTEE at life with the Neural Matrix and the FIA. And in the end why is So Mi's life more important than yours? Also the writers give YOU the player an out when Songbird talks about how "sometimes, the only right choice, is the one thats right for you alone." That really resonated with me. So many of these people are trying to control so many scenarios. Reed, V, Johnny. Trying to save lives and right wrongs. But really what most of these people should be doing is trying to save themselves, and looking out for their own well being.

  2. I think it's a cathartic ending. You became a God, then became a human again and even live a second live. Unfortunately many players didn't see it that way and like V would rather be an invincible killing machine. The ultimate subversion of expectations. Condemning Song, sacrificing Johnny and expecting a better reward from karma to carry on like before.
You even got what sounded like the best Johnny-goodbye as there are also some bitter words on low relationship. But in the end he's a damaged recording of a man turned brain virus and it's probably all he could hope for. The real Johnny died fifty years ago.

  3. I think the path where you side with Songbird needed the flashbacks from her past. it gives you the context you need to judge her fairly. she's like a wounded animal with a paw stuck in a beartrap. felt sorry for her. :/

  4. This was my ending. And honestly I was super happy and content with it. I could definitely see why you wouldn’t like it. But you did everything to try to survive and you finally do. At the cost of everything.

  5. Personally, I was disappointed by this ending or rather how they went about it. I get the message they wanted to convey, but it seems like they tried to make it as bitter as possible just for the sake of it – can't have nice things in NC.

  6. The NPC ending feels so confronting because the game takes from you all the progress you've made as a player: combat skills, personal relationships and Johnny. It's up to the player to decide if is better living a few months being a super-human or living a long but ordinary life as a 9-to-5 worker.

The best outcome for the main character is also the worst for the player. Genius move from CDPR if you ask me.
