Good question. My theory is that Songbird's constant exposure to the Black Wall Protocol might have affected her Psyche in a way that made her human Psyche vs her digital Psyche, in other words I think diving into the Net involves her being out of body and taking over an in printable construct that dives the Net(diving the net takes a lot of brain power (also known as cognitive processing) and compute power, that's why net runners use ice tubs to cool there bodies when diving) then by the time Phantom Library starts she might be suffering from a neurological and cognitive problem caused by the slow poisoning of the black wall protocol It's just a theory I got
My view is simple Netwatch as we all know set it up to do job of keeping out the rouge AI's and well Slider warns us about Songbird and who would have thunk he had a valid point to all of it the blackwall is also just as dangerous as the stuff it holds at bay.
My take on that is Song who was forced to tap into it was playing with a highly toxic substance on the net in the same way you don't mess around with say ricin for example.
She was made to do it too many times and I suspect something from the other side of it got in and contiminated her and started to mess with her mind and her humanity and its purpose and intent is unknown but whatever it is its not good reason I say this is because her voice changes when she speaks to you in person it seems more human when she used the blackwall protocol it felt like something else was talking as her to you as as V but it was not her herself in the first person.
Long winded but that's my take on it. And her wanting a cure was the vestige of her humanity fighting back to regain control of her life…..but we never really will fully know even with all the different endings….the real enemy all along was Myers…in my eyes.
A dude in another video explained that it was cancer. There's some evidence of this on the monitors inside the Van that you use to get to the airport, basically the blackwall do that. It would be cool if someone can confirm, I'm not able to get to that van
V was never saved by the called cure thats why they ban him from using cyberware the ripper doc would find some kikd of high tech ai construct made from v's personality not v
Hmmmm i think it more likely Song So Mi is NUSA President Myers test to see if AIs can be controlled and weaponised turning them into directional weapons of Mass Destruction!
Super cyberpsychosis

I reckon after a certain amount of time using Blackwall one of the rouge ai's got hold of her or nusa put a rouge ai in her as an experiment
