  1. I think it's a shame they abandoned their game engine. I love cyberpunk's and Witcher 3! open world's and now we won't ever get that game they promised in their insane marketing. As for the QA debacle I'd say that's on both companies especially cdpr management for not delaying the game a year or even 2

  2. Is there any hints of a Patch 1.6 soon? As in, the next few weeks, or do we think it'll be towards the end of the year?
If it wasn't for Pawel Sasko's streams, CDPR has been very quiet lately.. xD

  3. Being honest, I'm sad CDPR became the scapegoat for bad launches considering so many other bland franchises do this kind of thing all the time and don't get nearly the heat…

  4. As children, we're told to not lie because it's bad. Quantic Labs just learnt this lesson the hard way. As much blame we are putting on CDPR, I think a good portion of the blame can be put on the management of Quantic Labs as well. No wonder the quota to find bugs is just baffling and for a game like Cyberpunk 2077 is just not worth the developers time to polish minor bugs and glitches.

  5. If the devs know where the blame falls, I don't care if they make that information public or not. Just solve the problems, then there are no problems. If the problems at Quantic Labs are real, more of the people there need to come forward and make the issues known. One or two sources really isn't enough to validate what is being alleged unless they have actual evidence/testimony to back up what they are saying. CDPR might want to take a closer look at QL's work standards and practices to see if the cost/cost savings are worth whatever stains might be cast on CDPR by association. That step is entirely on them to take or not take, depending on what they know or want to know. It's sad when companies choose profit over quality and reputation.

  6. There's more there, and I'm afraid I can't tell you how I know. The reports are true, but much too antagonizing. CDPR basically hired McDonald's to make them a 5 michelin-star meal and the results are obvious. Keep in mind, CDPR knew this, having worked with them on W3. They knew they were working with McDonald's and were tasting the meal as it was being prepped, but they went with it, because they're a multi-billion dollar company and they wanted to cut cost. Simples. And yeah, McDonald's leadership is generally prone to overselling their cuisine, but they're McDonald's… and the workers there make McDonald's money. If clients don't do their homework, they get fed horse meat, but if you've already had McDonald's and you know what it tastes like then go for seconds? You know what you're getting.

  7. Cyberpunk 2077 is thriving imo as steam numbers are going up, console sales are also very good and as for Quantic Lab it seems to me the rumor's are just bullshit trying to cause trouble for cdpr whom I'll 100% support.

  8. Now that we know about what a disaster the launch was I haven't heard many people talk about how all these gaming websites for 2 years showered the game and studio with praise and hung on ANY small detail they heard from studio and cdpr marketing. It was ridiculous! Anyone remember how they said they are using RDR2 as inspiration for making a bug free game 😂😂😂!

  9. Most journalist outlets didn't have much to report on the game 2 years prior to release so they trickled out these click bait articles about the AI overhaul, branching paths and so on. It really was ridiculous. I'm not making excuses for the devs but it seems like nobody asked or questioned any of these claims that seem so ridiculous now.

  10. I think everyone learned a good lesson on hype building and how dangerous it is. Us as gamers and even YouTube channels like LKM definitely have responded appropriately by setting realistic expectations . Except elden Ring! Fromsoft now #1 devs forever LOL 😆😆😆

  11. I am still hoping for a comeback, I am still making videos for this game, I am still downloading mods, I am all in for mike poundsmith world, hopefully this new patch and the DLC really shows what people dreamed about this game becoming.

  12. Hey LKM, what do you think about the new fsr 2.0, do you think Cdpr will add 2.0? We have already seen examples like God of War but Cdpr is quite secretive when it comes to these topics

  13. In the end the ones who will be blamed for CP2077 fiasco are……four janitors, eight
cleaning ladies, the pizza delivery guy,the gardener and let's not forget the security guard at
the entrance to CDPR studios 🙂

  14. Truth in both of those reports most likely.
The game is more or less over.We get one last patch one expansion may be a few dlc items and that is it.
There is a new modding platform that just came out so I hope we see a lot of new mods come through it.Maybe even some expanded ,missions or romances. There is a rumor that the Judy romance will have an expansion mod although I am unsure about that. We shall see. But we need to hope the modders come thorugh for us and let CDPR fade away….

  15. I don't care if they outsourced bug reporting to monkeys, on half of the platforms it released on the game was totally broken.
CDPR should have found out they were being ripped off a lot sooner.
Saying that CDPR does ZERO in house QC is just as bad as saying the outsourced QC was corrupt.

  16. A bit off topic, but @LastKnownMeal do you know anything about patch 1.6? It should be out now soon?

Everyone blaming CDPR devs, but it's obvious that the management was behind the launch disaster. If only they delayed the game until patch 1.5, this could've been avoided. Oh well, I enjoyed my time with the game on PC, but still feeling sorry for those who stuck on base Xbox One or PS4. The game is not meant for those consoles.

  17. Ultimately it does fall on CDPR, but it doesn't help and actually hurts if this report by UE is true. I can say (yet again) that I had very few bugs on PC but do understand others had issue. Quantic Labs not properly doing their job ultimately can be factored into the (for others) poor release.

  18. I have to give a bit of respect to CDPR. Yes they released the game in an unsatisfactory condition, however they've since spent the time and money fixing it. If I compare it to Bethesda and Skyrim, that game still has the original bugs it was released with, and although Bethesda has fixed a lot of the issues, they only re-release for sale as a different version.

  19. I too don't believe that no one in CDPR played the game, before launch. Also CDPR would have sued them most probably, Quantic Labs lied to them or did something like that.

We all know bugs were not the only problem with this game, major thing is lies & deception.

  20. Honestly we should be grateful CDPR have been taking the time to fix the game. Regardless of whatever or whoever is at fault, the fact they’re fixing as many of the major issues as they possibly can before releasing any more DLC is the only way to own up to the mistake and show some responsibility.

Keep in mind this isn’t the first time something like this has happened. Look at BioWare’s Anthem (still broken) and MEA (very bland) when they were released. Immediately abandoned after a few months with little hope or no hope of being corrected. Those two games were released before any pandemic came out and the fact people are giving so much shit to a company that had several deterrents but not nearly as much to another that had hardly any deterrents is mind boggling. It doesn’t matter if the developers were awesome in the past, they can make some serious mistakes. It’s just a matter of are they willing to fix it. BioWare has my eternal disdain because they refused to fix both Anthem (thank goodness I only played the Beta) and Mass Effect Andromeda (serious lack of content). I’m hoping they don’t do a repeat with Dragon Age 4 because that will be dumb on their part. So in a matter of perspective (and actually remembering BioWare’s Anthem) CDPR has honestly done better than what was expected because to be fair, I thought they would abandon Cyberpunk but they choose to fix it. They didn’t give the game the Anthem treatment.

Of course it wouldn’t have hurt to have already moved onto a game engine that is more reliable but they probably didn’t expect current events to screw them over as well not to mention having bug finding quotas is just insane. They need to address that for future games and chuck it into the bin or just find another QA team that doesn’t have something as silly and stupid as that.

  21. Bugs were most visible, but they are not the only issue of the game. It is underdeveloped product, it didn't deliver some promised things at all and additionally many promised things are not even half-baked, they are barely existing (like our origins – corpo or Nomad – they change almost nothing). The main issue is that the game was released at least 2 years too early and to meet the deadline they rushed lot of things.
