  1. I think I would have chosen the same path on this one. It just feels like the right one. It was also fun to see some new stuff happen with Shrimp Lady, never gets old seeing how invincible she is.

  2. Picked Reed at first playthrough as well.

I semi-joked that Songbird's "too much of a bitch" for me to side with, but after experiencing both sides I really do think you're neither doing something right or anything less wrong. The story is well crafted in this sense where no matter whose side you're on, nothing is truly better for Songbird, and the way Songbird is also characterized, you're not exactly made to trust her more (or less as well). It's a truly difficult choice to make and I love it for that

My real justification of picking Reed over Songbird is that I know Songbird just won't help herself (or herselves).

  3. "You couldn't live without your daily dose of shrimp. Where did that bring you? Back to me." -Martha Liu, Shrimp Lady

Even if he doesn't start or end with shrimp, the game brings him back to Kabuki Market anyway

  4. Sided with Songbird first playthrough just because it felt more right with the type of V I was playing as. Reed doesn’t become super evil like Songbird does after you betray him, but he remains loyal to Myers and the NUSA (who are at their most outwardly evil after the betrayal) and is pissed off that you betrayed him (but not psychotic levels of pissed like Songbird). It’s pretty obvious throughout Songbird’s route that she’s bullshitting you in some way, so it feels less about whether or not you really want to see Songbird herself succeed, but rather the idea of making what should be an impossible plan (Songbird outrunning the NUSA and curing her fucked up illness) fall through. Regardless, there really isn’t any outcome that’s better than the other

The music during the Firestarter mission is nucking futs
