I love the way they prime you ahead of time for the choices you are going to have to make, you discuss them so you're pro/coning the things as you progress
The name next to the dialogue box means that's who you're about to say this dialogue to. So saying "going with Alt, you live on" means Johnny says that to V, sticking to the plan. He goes with Alt, V lives on.
I feel like chat made it way more confusing than it needed to be.

btw, a little hint on So Mi. If you want to hear from her again, go to the alley where you met up in her van by the Skyline Republic area. Look around the trash on the floor where the van was once parked. A nice little way to give you some closure. 😉
