  1. While all this sounds nice, the impact of 2077s failure (though I liked the game) can be felt strongly here. They're trying so hard to push their successful IP, the Witcher, but nothing is even close to being finished. You'd think that in the last 10 years, there would have been plans to move forward after cyberpunk. They bet it all on Cyberpunk and lost big. I'm excited for the new projects but it does seem to me like they're really inflating their capabilities here.

  2. If you really pay attention to CP2077 you can see the game that they intended to create. The city is very well crafted. It's just a mechanical nightmare. I do feel that their are some people on the team truly passionate about the IP and aren't willing to let it die where it lies. I feel they still want to make the IP a success like the Witcher has been.

  3. Man these past few years have been really dead for the RPG community. It's like a dam building up pressure and 2023 is when it finally breaks through and content starts flooding in. That is assuming everything goes as planned and we don't enter another global crisis. Fingers crossed.

  4. All I can think when I hear about what the new Witcher game is meant to be, is like… a better version of DA: Inquisition.
It just sounds like they want to make a multiplayer fantasy game set in the world of the Witcher, and my guess is that either your character, or the multiplayer character(s) (if that go that route) won't actually BE a Witcher.
I mean, how rare can Witchers be if you're going to be playing with other Witchers in the multiplayer side of the game?
Also, how could you work in Geralt working with another Geralt logically?, Pretty sure they're looking to move away from using him as a main character, unless they want to allow you to play as different characters as well, maybe allowing Yennifer (purely an example, hardly my expectation) to be playable.

Idk, it's all speculation at this point, but I'll hazard my guess at them not looking to use the same format for their games if they're looking to make it multiplayer

  5. So splitting resources…going backwards…relying on sequels because there's not enough of those…outsourcing to some random unknown and untested studio…abondoning the train wreck of a mess they made of cyberpunk and basically starting over from scratch…hoping everyone forgets and they've been forgiven.

Working on multiple games simultaneously…shorter development…splitting their focus, time and resources between various projects…attempting to tackle the multiplayer genre, something they've got no experience with because they've never actually done it before…

Big ambitions are fine but it seems like they're biting off more than they can chew…

I'd personally be more excited if they'd double down on their commitment to cyberpunk, finished what they started, actually provided updates and fixes that modders haven't already done better, polished the experience, provided the cut and missing content they hyped and advertised…and finally expanded the game with multple substantial DLC's like they did with witcher 3.
