Things Got WORSE For Cyberpunk 2077 – Sales Numbers, Cyber Attack, & Late Patches!

After weeks of good news mostly thanks to Mass Effect and KOTOR, we swing out attention to Cyberpunk 2077 where the situation has not improved much. For starters, sales numbers have arrived for the month of January 2021 and the impact of their launch is now shown in raw data. Furthermore, CD Projekt Red was the target of a cyber attack which has not led to a loss of incredibly sensitive data. That on top of a patch yet to arrive and it looks like we will be waiting a bit longer for the good times to roll for Cyberpunk 2077!

  1. The we’ve been hacked statement is in response to article 34 in REGULATION (EU) 2016/679 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 27 April 2016. Meaning there was high risk personal data compromised. Plus it’s the second time they have been hacked.

  2. I hope patch 1.2 solves many of the problems. If not, I'll have to unistall the game and wait for a year or something after/if they fix it. I'm very disappointed with CDProject.

  3. I really hate this situation. I'm having a blast playing the game and I see it being destroyed… I really hope they can fix the game to the point where it is as they truly wanted it to be… and that there will be DLC's.

  4. I love the game. The rest is people trying to make money. For example, always talking about the console and ignoring the PC. 18th top seller when the product has been TAKEN OFF SALE is quite amazing. Not disappointing!

  5. It feels like Karma in a way. The Devs ( poor individuals) are collateral damage. They just caught in a greedy cross fire. I wish a lot of these Devs could find a safe home i ✌🏿n bioware and work on some K.O.T.O.R

  6. I do love the game – it is sad that there was bugs that is sad they cut content but I do think we just should give it time and they will make it great just like witcher. We cannot cancel company that was very successful just because of that

  7. Cyberpunk is a disaster yes….. but think about this for a second.. just throwing it out there Seems to me all these youtubers with their weekly content hyping the fuck out of everything…. are the reason nothing is worth the hype and makes every new game ends up in dissapointment. Also the insane obsessed coverage about every game detail ruins and spoils the games so much that every new game feels like an old game by the time the general public gets their hands on it….. i miss the old days were you could discover and pioneer into games yourself and experience everything yourself insteadt of following other peoples opinion……

  8. First off, I'm playing on PC, so I don't have nearly the problems console players have. I think what will "save" the game in a relative sense, is the PC players and mainly the modders. The game is playable, again in a relative sense, and there already is an active modding community that already has made small life improvement mods. For PC, CDPR did a "Bethesda" and released a workable game engine with a really cool open world. Modders can fix the glitches and provide great content. <<< I know it's sad, but that's basically what happened. I have no doubt with mods I'll be playing Cyberpunk 2077 for a few years at least, until Fallout 5 or TES 6 comes out.

  9. Hope all people within the company come out of this ok and in a selfish manner hope that the company comes out of this ok because well 1. all these people need their jobs and 2. I want them to be able to fix cyberpunk and finish it because I think at the end of the year this game could look pretty good or a lot better than it did at launch so hopefully this company gets to continue its support and goes at least mostly unaffected. Thoughts and prayers to the safety of the people

  10. Kinda glad I lost hype for Cyberpunk a month before its release, lmao. I've had so much more fun playing Final Fantasy XIV. I started that game a few weeks after losing my Cyberpunk hype and choose to put my money into that instead; I have zero regrets. I won't be buying Cyberpunk in the near or distant future; what I've seen of the world itself has been disappointing to say the least.

  11. Matty if you know what Game of Thrones is there was actually a full on RPG made from it with it’s own characters and story that takes place in Westeros. It came out in 2012 and I’d love to see your opinions on it.
