Today we talk about some of the rather surprising updates coming out around Cyberpunk 2077 and CD Projekt Red’s status with the game. We hear about player counts spiking and reviews being overwhelming positive, all just from a sale and no other updates. Further, we get some updates on CDPR’s lawsuit situation.

I played it at launch (PC) and really enjoyed the early montage with Jackie – I thought it was a good story telling device – my bigger problem as the life path setup – it was just a waste of time play wise and I guess a massive waste of development time (hindsight is 20/20…) – I think if they had V being the Street Kid and buddy of Jackie from the get go, the montage would have landed even better
I got my PS4 pro version for 10 bucks. a Best Buy one day sale
This sounds good but im good on this game it doesnt really matter what they do to it i wont buy it. But i do want them to fix it for those who bought it and felt they didnt get their money worth when it first dropped
Funny thing i enjoyed CP2077 day one without many bugs but last update killed my savegames files. Liked the game but it's not for the impatient.
You wanted to kill Jackie? You're a monster!
Still waiting for meaningful story content to be added, for a third person mode for console players, for you to be able to climb walls with mantis arms, re-vamped a.i. and police chases.
Just want what they promised/showed
When's the last time someone had fun with a third-person shooter. I'm genuinely curious.
The main problem with Cyberpunk isn't the crashing, the bugs, or even the broken builds…. the problem is no one really did a second read of the plot. Like, the Demo is pretty well written, but once you get into the main game, it gets about as flat as a Super Mario game and is almost as predictable.
Yeah, I played cyberpunk literally on release and I didn't experience close to anything that some people had. The only glitch I got was in the nomad camp just before the final mission, I couldnt talk to one half of the people for some reason.
CDPR straight up lied to us about what this game was and could do. They mislead us in many other ways too like with the map that highlighted areas that are not note worthy or exist at all.
Your consistent optimism is a nice constant in my YouTube feed. Regardless of my own opinion, I know you're looking on the upside of things.
So tired of companies being able to settle without taking any fault. If you are paying out money, what is it for?
The only real bugs and glitches I see are clipping issues, items either sunken in or on to objects making them unobtainable – which is neglegable as its normally crafting items or stimpacks. Other than that I find it a more than playable experience.
I love Cyberpunk, I've been playing on and off since release. I couldn't disagree more with the montage statement, move some of the Watson content to after the heist and let us do mission with Jackie, T-Bug and even a more indepth recruitment process for Dexter DeShawn.
The game really starts after the "heist" is an excuse, a poor one.
Third person rpg's bother me. Hard to role play for me when I'm looking from a camera angle, instead of from the eyes of the character
First person was totally the right call. I loved the Witcher, but 3rd person always kept me from full immersion into the world.
I just hope in time they make everything they promised true or they must charge it way less then what they do now.
Personally I think the game is super fun, but this the 3rd time I'm trying to actually play it. I have 70h put into it and now I can't seem to find a way to fix the memory leak issue, which makes the game quite unplayable just after 5-10 mins of play time. Any help?
Cdpr proves cp2077 is goty. The did the comeback
Personally i feel that third person should always be an option! Always! It doesn't break my immersion. However entering pic mode to see my outfit in the world does!
I liked Jackie, thought he’s cool
I'm actually thinking about playing cyberpunk again i played it and complained one didn't play it again because it feels like there's a lot of cut content but its still a good game and away more playable now it just needs some fixes and need more content in the game
Seeing how you drive hurt my eyes
Are they adding wall running that was in the tech demo??? Lies lies smh
They should have done a 3rd person cover system like deus ex. This would have also been a cool way to enhance stealth and bring a bit more 3rd person functionality to the game. Yeah that would be a cool way to see character in action especially since combat is mainly gunplay. And it being first was a unique decision to differentiate this game from Witcher. Other than that I’m fine that it’s mainly first person. No says anything about destiny being mainly a first person game and theirs a bunch of customization with only few third person functionality that you can’t switch on the fly. It’s like why switch camera to third on the fly, what does that do for gameplay other than just seeing your character.
When’s the PS5 Next Gen Update… 🤔🤔🤔
Are you high? The game is still missing mountains of basic features that aren't in the game yet. It's ok to like the game but don't say it's turning around when it's still in rough shape.
So does this mean it'll stop crashing when I try to load the game?
The game should have been solely a next generation game, that way they’d have had the time to polish some more! But consumers like me are the reason for its launch state. I have at least a dozen characters in cyberpunk and I love the game, but it definitely needed more time to at least launch in its current state!
I still play, I still have fun, but still recognize the game is jank. I swear nearly every decision they made during the development process was the wrong one.
If CDP has agreed to a settlement with the investors, that means that they have been advised that they are unlikely to prevail after a protracted lawsuit. At least, its a major gamble. So, they have agreed to pay out to the investors for money of which we will never find out the amount. Thats not good news for CDP. However, it is vindication for Cyberpunk fans if you thought you were deceived by CDP marketing.
Im getting lots of bugs and frame rate dips still after the update…
100% agree they should have been able to play the early bits with jackie welles other wise they should have not had jackie as a side characters
I bought this game two weeks ago for $25 on PS5 and it's worth the money! I hope we get DLC's to expand on side Characters and quests! The world building, story, and gameplay is great.
The story isn't served by expanding things with Jackie? I call bullshit
You're right you're a terrible person Jackie was the best how could you not connect with him
I loved the game, and really only came across 2 bugs.
1. The window during the desert ambush yote me like 80 feet when i attempted to climb in.
2. Sometimes when i landed on slanted surfaces, id take a bunch of fall damage, potentially dying regardless of fall distance
A big mistake they made IMO is after the heist, every fixer in the city just automatically trust you and offer you help/jobs. What should have happened is that fixers initially only offer basic low stake jobs that you have to complete to earn their trust. After some basic jobs they then start offering bigger, harder and more high-stakes jobs. Possibly rewarding good weapons/mods/cars as you go. And eventually after doing enough of those, they help you out with main story missions. This would have tied the world and side content into the main story MUCH better, and actually given incentive to go do side content and explore all of the beautiful game space. And it would have lengthened the very short main story.
