  1. I don't think FPS matters as long as your reaching a satisfying smoothness in your game. That's what matters at the end of the day what we want is to enjoy a virtual world from a screen (depending on what your refresh rate is ) to take a bit time off reality an and all that.

  2. I just want a benchmark to know how screwed older GPU guys are. I have an ancient rig (not upgrading until Feb next year) but it still maxed out the game prior to this update for 60fps at 1080p. Raytracing was never an option for me anyway but how big is file size of the game? Can ANY ray tracing options be used (like the reflections) for older 900/1000 series Nvidia cards?

  3. How does this new version runs with RTX 2060? Will I be able to run ray tracing and have constant 50 FPS at 1080p? (I play at 50 HZ as I prefer constant 50 FPS than 65 then 70 then 52 then 49 then 60…)

  4. The main reason probably for why PC performance in Witcher 3 next gen feels better is due to simple fact that Witcher 3 uses RED Engine 3 which was completed and only needed modification to make ray tracing work in it. While Cyberpunk 2077 uses RED Engine 4 where during CP 2077 top brass of management basically pissed about 75%% staff responsible for the creation of said engine with unrealistic goals and deadlines. This resulted in mass exodus of said staff to leave the company which resulted in CDPR releasing CP2077 on unfinished game engine (basically a repeat of Gothic 3 on PC) which just as of 2022 version 1.6 you can say that RED Engine 4 is finally finished product.

  5. One thing I noticed in your Settings menu is that your DLSS is set to Quality. At 1440p you can lower that to Balanced and gain a good performance boost with little to no hit to image quality.

As a general rule, 1080p can be set to Quality, 1440p set to Balanced, and 4k set to Performance. DLSS scales based on the rendering resolution, that's why higher resolutions like 4K can use a more aggressive setting and lower resolutions like 1080p have to use a higher setting.

  6. Hey mate! I love Witcher 3 but having troubles with cyberpunk i wonder if it makes sense to download this update…. would my humble 3050 handle nextgen in 1080p? I will be glad for the answer.

  7. I have a 3070 TI and I have to play without RTX and YES! I cannot get after burner to work either.

I was getting 140 fps at 1440p native ultra and 100 to 120 with hairworks on last week, but since this "update" now I get 90 fps rather than 140 at native 1440 ultra without dlss or rtx on.
