When we first heard about what Cyberpunk 2077 had in store, fans everywhere lost their minds at the possibility of what this game could deliver. But when Cyberpunk 2077 was finally released, it was less than impressive to say the least. Users we’re met with bugs, missing features, and choppy game play. Cyberpunk 2077 had come out to very little positive reviews. Not even Keanu Reaves could help keep this game from flopping.

  1. 8:16 well that is one thing I 100% disagree with. Fans aren't talking about little small bugs like Forbidden West. We're talkin about flat-out "holyshit why was this released in this way? We had to wait a full year for this to be remotely competent & playable." The only way a company is going to learn is to not buy the freaking broken game. It's going to keep happening because idiots keep purchasing games and expect companies to fix everything AFTER getting your money. (Fifa & 2K will never change because fanbase buys the game in the state that it's in) Companies only care about their wallets. Not disgruntled fans who'll buys products anyway. Don't buy the game, see the changes that you actually want

  2. Finally a youtuber being unbiased and hating for the sake of hating it . Honestly even when it released even with the bugs it was a fantastic game if you could look past the bugs cause of the amazing characters lore story and atmosphere and music but now after patch 1.5 it's one of the best games to come out since witcher 3 in my opinion. I personally think in the next 3 years when the game is completely polished and all expansions released . I genuinely believe it will be a near masterpiece of a game and up there with one of the best ever

  3. Bridge is burned. Even now, a year and a half later, the dissapointment from back then is intense when I look at the game. Literally won't play it because of that.

  4. I got it at 15 bucks for ps5. Never played before 1.5 patch. Game is fun and really good. I'm having a blast for only 15 bucks.

Just don't pre order games and you'll be fine.

  5. The only bug i faced was a hilarious rubberband hair glitch after you knock out an enemy 😂 other than that, had a fun time with it and I look forward to what's next for Cyberpunk

  6. I bought it on ps5 a couple of weeks ago when it was on sale. I found it a bit overwhelming at first but I’m enjoying it now I know how everything works. I’m actually looking forward to a second playthrough to do all the things I couldn’t this time around

  7. It's still having issues 16 moths after release.

The question is though, with so many games released in such a state or half finished taking up to a year plus to fix,

Why should players have to put up with this?

I don't care that its "fixed now" because first it's not and people still have many issues, and second it's taken 16 months to get into a state deemed OK, but still needs much work.

People deserve better than this and until people stop preordering and day one purchases, this will continue and has already escalated getting worse.

  8. I remember missing all the Mass Effect 3 hype and absolutely enjoying that game.
My experience with it seemed to be the polar opposite of everyone elses.
From that moment on I made the decision to ignore any pre-release hype from game studios.
As a result playing Cyberpunk 2077 on release was only a very minor disappointment for me.

  9. Desiny, when video games stopped trying and started existing. I would much rather have a The outer worlds, a game that just works to do what it needs to do, then developers thinking they will be the one to make the largest of all leap in video game history.

  10. The part where you have said "if we have boycotted every game studio that released a broken game, we wouldn't have any games to play" is representing everything wrong with the gaming industry.

  11. 8:20 This a bad mindset. So what he is saying is, basically to lower our standards, and expect broken games, with misleading advertisement? Boycotting is stupid yes, but critisizing bullshit marketing practices is not. Also, 8:02, what is that tone? He makes it sound like CD project did a favour to the people that bought the game. No, they did what they should have and updated the game from a scam to playable. Cyberpunk, as the reviews from youtube and steam say,is better now, and will probably get better, but it didn't have a big redempion, like lets say, no mans sky did ( and yeah that has to do with the fact that no mans sky is a sandbox) or like this video implies.Core features are still broken, like the police system.Steam reviews say as much. Those positive reviews that he mentions also have a lot of critisisms, i have read a couple. I have heard that the game has a great story, but its also €60. Red dead redempion 2 is €60,and that game is jaw dropping, apart from having a compeling story. I am not saying don't buy it, i have not played it so i can't recommend or not recommend it, but what i can say is that, if you are thinking of buying it, do your research and see if the game is to the point where you are satisfied. But never allow practices like these to slide.

Edit : this video doesn't mention that the ps4 and xbox versions are still a worse version of the game that every other system gets. And the game was originally marketed for last gen consoles…Also the New patch 1.5 is called a "next gen patch" which MAY imply that they are moving away from last gen consoles.

  12. here's the thing: CDPR built their entire image off of "we're not like other, greedy game studios, we're here for the players", which is why this disaster is perceived as so much worse for them than for someone like EA imo. Yeah other game studios have done this too, but none of them had the holier-than-thou attitude CDPR did, which is why people were as furious as they were, and why they'll have a harder time earning their rep back.

  13. I love this game. I bought it when it came out knowing it was a disaster. Played maybe 1/3 on my Xbox one, put it on the shelf then finished it on series x. Now playing a new game on next gen releaae. The game both sucks and rocks in equal measure. It's a fucked up masterpiece that I think will hold up over time.

  14. I played Cyberpunk at launch on PC and enjoyed it. I followed the development closely and saw the warning signs for a troubled launch, so it wasn’t really a surprise to me. Overall, I really enjoyed it. It’s by no means a top RPG for me, but I really wasn’t anticipating CDPR’s first shooter and first FPS rpg to be a genre defining game.

For me, the more disappointing matter has been the long period of patching.

I also found the marketing strategy and media coverage of the game troubling – the media was so hamstrung by NDAs it basically created the hype train crash. People never mention this.

I do give CDPR the benefit of the doubt due to the pandemic and working from home – I am looking forward to their DLC and next major release.

  15. The game didn't actually start development until 2018. It was released after only 2 years of development. The update they gave us is not enough. What they promessed, if they do continue updating it, will take at least 2-3 more years.

  16. I think you said it best in this video. If we just boycotted every studio that churned out a bad game then we wouldn't have any at all. Yes cdpr fucked up, but who hasn't before? For every gaming gem we hold so dearly in our memory I can assure you there is an almost guaranteed chance that same developer released some questionable garbage. Not saying people should have a free pass to just create mediocre garbage, but there should be at least an acknowledgement that not every game is going to be a 10/10. Mistakes and bad decisions are just going to come with the territory. Happens to us all.

False; game studios would work much harder to release non buggy games.

They need to spend much more time time playtesting the shit out these games; and then FIXING them.
