  1. Great to see you starting Cyberpunk; I've recently picked up an old savefile after the patches and enjoying it quite a lot! Really looking forward to seeing you enjoying this masterpiece (and going through a lot of lore and readables which I missed).

  3. A skull is a level of enemy. Don't mess with the netwatch chaps they'll pack you into a niche in the columbarium faster than you can say preem, max nova techno necromancers are coming to do nasty techno necromancy things to me. The game is incredible. I'm sure you'll love it. As for V. and chooms you'll fall for her big time. She might be an Ex corpo but she can and does, given the chance have a heart of gold. Welcome to night city choom.

  4. i dont know what kind of rig you have, but try to activate Raytracing and use DLSS to the the framerate to a good level. The game looks just so much better with ray tracing, everything is much more athmospheric etc. If you have a 3080 or better you should get it running with Raytracing…

  5. Eyeball… you already have cyber eyes (that's how you can get the Malfunction error message directly on your eyes to begin with), Victor is just replacing them with a much better brand and model.

  6. Funny to me how several LPers (native English-speakers, all) have giggled at the “Dex fingered you for this” lines. Of course it could be interpreted in, uh, penetrative ways, but I just didn’t think it was particularly unknown slang for picking someone out of a crowd/pointing at someone. I know I’ve heard it said before – and said without any attempt at a double entendre, mind you – and I’m not a native English-speaker. I’m not saying you shouldn’t giggle at it (by all means do), and I’m not saying it’s a super-common bit of slang, but I just didn’t think it’d elicit laughter as much as it does.

  7. You don't have to apologize for your playstyle, Mapo. You are one of my top Youtubers that I watch for content. You stop, you look, you read. Those are the very reasons why I keep coming back again and again. Also, you're so much better at combat than I am. 😁

  8. Something the game never tells you, you can zoom your sight without having to use the scanner by holding the aim key (right mouse button by default) and using the scroll wheel while you don't have a weapon drawn.

  9. The thing with V vs Evelyn's pronunciation is a good catch. I always thought it must have been an intentional choice. Cherami Leigh, the VA for female V, has decades of experience in anime dub voicework. She can definitely pronounce Japanese names, at the very least, better than she does in this role.

In this case, V is a merc who cares little for manners and refined speech, but Evelyn's entire line of work centers around pleasing customers, even in small ways. Having such a high class customer as Yorinobu would provide strong incentive for her to make the effort to learn and use precise pronunciation.

Sidenote: I love this game's attention to detail and I discover new things every time I revisit it. Early on in this video, when you were talking about loving in-universe ads, I noticed that the bench in the megabuilding is covered in iron studs to making lying down on it extremely uncomfortable. Anti-homeless architecture at its finest. And it makes perfect sense for that to still be a thing in a cyberpunk world. A totally unnecessary detail, but I love it

  10. Only recently discovered your channel, but you've already shot to the top of my favs. Really appreciate the time you take to get immersed in a game's world and lore, makes for a much more enjoyable experience!

  11. Honestly I'd just turn off RT if you have any perf issues. It looks really good in certain areas, but the game was really designed for standard rendering and it looks good without. A few places look weird in RT because the lighting isnt realistic…

  12. I really hate they cut out 99% of the brain dancing stuff. It was suppose to be really big. You coiuld buy your own brain dance events from vendors and play them back at your apartment.

  13. Hey mapo, don't need excuses to get lost in NC, i think everyone was dumbstruck by the esthetics the first time around. I still go back just to drive around and listen to the banger radio tracks, so take ya time, fully immerse yourself in the experience, there's nothing like it in gaming I don't even think gta can compare. Here for the whole ride bud

  14. "Is that possible, could you just do a bunch of side stuff and get 21k?"
    Yep
Quite easily actually ^^ If you ignore Jackie and just go wander the area that is unlocked in the game currently (Watson), there are a bunch of gigs (the fixer-based side quests) from Regina Jones which can net you quite a bit of cash (as you can basically do all her gigs before continuing with the game, you unlock more as you progress until you did all 23 of them)
I believe you can net over 100k that way, and also doing the Kabuki fight from the Beat on the Brat quests

I generally do all that side content first, pay Victor the 21k so that debt is squared ^^
