Today I wanted to explore a large unused militech building in Cyberpunk 2077. This place talks the talk, but doesnโ€™t walk the walk. I donโ€™t actually know what thatโ€™s supposed to mean, but trust me when I say that this cut content stings.

  1. What a beautiful interior, you can tell they had a certain style going for militech and were still working on that area inside the building. Breaks my heart that the game didnโ€™t receive more time to be finished back in 2020.

  2. Why is there so much unfinished stuff in Cyberpunk 2077, and CDPR doesn't hide it? It is a middle finger to the fan for rightfully whining about the game; rightfully, but it is still whining anyway ๐Ÿคฃ. You can see the potential, but you will never have it ๐Ÿ˜‚.

  3. What the fuck… all you gotta do is put NPCs here and you're good to go.

I'll ask Pawel Sasko about this on his stream today. He'll definitely know what was supposed to be here.

  4. You said it! The Corps, in a world that's supposed to be run by them and we're constantly told how evil they supposedly are, and they're not fucking used! We get Stout, that's really the only Militech interaction we get, we down a Kang Tao AV, they never show up again.
It's so disappointing that what would've made this game interesting took a back seat or was completely wiped entirely for a boring Silverhand Revenge arc.

  5. All the cut content is disappointing. I can only hope that in the Cyberpunk sequel, it's also taking place in Night City, and they can use the existing city as a baseline and just have the level designers focus on fleshing out all the areas we missed. It'd kind of suck if the sequel just feels like it's what the first game should have been, but at the same time I wouldn't be too mad if that happened either, given how ambitious the game's marketing made it appear to be.

  6. Willing to bet the majority of Phantom Liberty was supposed to be in the base game. Militech is a huge part of PL's story the same was Arasaka is to the base game. This building is definitely cut content and was probably related to Stout, from my understanding Militech was supposed to be featured much more heavily in the early base game, i believe Stout even offers you work but it literally goes nowhere. But like everything else, most of it got cut.

  7. One of CDPR devs said that there was an idea for a militech ending but in the end it got cut because the team said there was already a lot of endings in the game.. Or maybe the the team did not have the time to do it..?

If you think about the idea of a militech ending it makes sense..

In the start of the game you meat a militech agent meredith stout this character originally planed to play a bigger role in the story you can discover that in a tattoo on her neck I guess the original idea for her she well have a entire questline like judy panam kerry and river and this questline well give you a new option in the ending like the a Aldecaldo panam ending but for militech

    A militech meredith ending.

  8. Despite having the emotional gut punch I get every time I watch a video that covers cut content for 2077, it also makes me excited thinking about how much more fleshed out the sequel will be when it comes out years from now. Awesome content, MZK.
