*I have seen trailers of this game (2014 Announcement, E3 2018, E3 2019, gameplay trailers) but no knowledge of the world, story, characters and the majority of the game itself. Semi-blind in that context but for all intents and purposes a Blind Playthrough of Cyberpunk is finally here!

  1. If the performance issues stay, I'd recommend trying to fiddle with DLSS or FSR settings, or just turn off Raytracing altogether. Raytracing does make the game look better but it is marginal during gameplay, it's only really effective when you're specifically looking for it

  2. "Europe, they also drive on the left side" Actually, 99% of Europe drives on the right side 😛
Only UK and Ireland (and any British colonies) drive on the left side in Europe
    There's very few countries in the world where left hand driving is the standard ^^;

  3. Honestly, the lifepaths don't matter too much on core gameplay and I'd be happy to watch any, but I do think female V is a much better voice actor, and is much more important to the story being a dialogue-heavy game. That's my opinion having played a full play through with both.

I know you film these well in advance so I can pray you opt for female in the end but regardless I'm loving the play through so far and have been so excited for this one!

I think Cyberpunk has to be my favourite story in a video game to date. Prior to that it was the Mass Effect trilogy as a whole, but Cyberpunk tops it for me as it's a little more human-centric of a story; a little more grounded and relatable.

Americans drives on opposite side? Europe drives on left side? What are you talking man?? 😆

The whole world drives on the right side!

The only major countries that drive on left side are England, Australia (which is a former colony of England) and Japan (since it was heavily inspired by England in the past) lol.

and maybe couple other third world small countries also have left side, most of which also ex England colonies

  5. Obviously V can be whomever you want, but I've always felt like female Corpo V was the one that felt the most like it was the canon choice. Something about the way she explores the world and the situations in it feel the most like they circle back to each other in a well rounded way

  6. they completely redid the skill systems be interesting what skills and paths you take for me I loved the netrunning with a one hand shooter and a bit of cool stealth 😄
also added that cosmetics system so you didn't look so dam random with the better clothing stats haha

  7. I'm glad you went male again for this one. Corpo female is my main V. Regardless of which background you choose i'm glad you will get to play her even if its just for 1 video. Really happy you're playing Cyberpunk Mapo. This is the series I needed from you right now and I hope you have a great time playing it!

  8. Corpo felt the most "natural" for me, for the friendship between V and Jackie. Nomad comes second, and Streetkid last concerning their friendship / bonding the player to Jackie. Excited for your thoughts on the corpo start!

  9. Yeah, this start was never balanced. So it's overtuned. I've done it on very hard, but it took me many many tries. Raytracing on this game is very taxing. And some of it isn't good. Turn off the RT Lighting. It actually makes the game look worse. RT Shadows is fine and RT Reflections look great, but it's one of the most taxing settings out of all of them. RT Sun Shadows turn off as well.

So in short, leave RT shadows on, Turn off RT Sun Shadows, Lighting, and Reflections if it's taxing the system to hard.

  10. What Americans (and apparently Australians) mean when they say Europe: the UK
What Europeans (including the UK) mean when they say Europe: not the UK
    Funny how it is 🙂

  11. @mapocolops when you decide on your character, please read talent trees, because it's really easy to water down build and make it really shit and there is only ONE respec item in game – yeah fucking stupid but you can make new save before respecing or save scum

  12. I personally think the street kid path is the canon one in terms of the dialogue after the intros all seem like it’s by a street kid rather than what a nomad or corpo would say

  13. I myself absolutely loathe driving with a keyboard so I use a controller whenever I use a vehicle in this game even though otherwise I use M&KB. Highly recommended. Otherwise you'll be mowing people down in the city (and thus getting into trouble with the 5-0) _all the time_. Not having analog control while controlling a car/bike in a game? Only lunatics enjoy that shit.

  14. Cyberpunk 2077 is like The Last of Us, it is an ok game with a by the numbers gameplay. What misleads people into thinking that it is a great game is the dialogue, the characters and the story. When a video game has a serviceable gameplay, it is really entertaining to go from one story bit to the next, without feeling exhausted or dreading having to engage with the gameplay just to see what happens next. They are not great games, they are very entertaining stories accompanied by some gameplay.

  15. Just so you know, it's not just you "not being good at driving games on keyboard and mouse"… Cyberpunk has been criticized since day 1 about how terrible driving feels with any vehicle. They've made updates and all, but it still doesn't feel right to me and it's still not even close to other open worlds. There are mods to improve that aspect of the game specifically, which I haven't tried personally, but I've read they're among the most essential mods out there. If you're planning to hit the road a lot it might be interesting to try them (even on your first run), although now that they've included the subway system driving seems slightly less relevant (not to mention you can teleport to any waypoint across the city). It's still needed in a few missions though!

  16. Personally, all 3 backgrounds are fun, but as 1st time playing nomad back at release days, it will always be headcanon for me. It also the most representative of the 1st time player who knows nothing about NC, or history of this "world" or legendary characters.

  17. Only reason I recommend female V is for her voice, male V has this kind of defeated tough guy doing what he has to vibe to him where to me female V has a more emotional portrayal and makes for some really great moments and dialogue.

  18. love that you are giving all three intros a try, I feel like this will be a very long and thorough series. two non-spoiler tips that might save you some headaches in the future though, you can change the setting so WASD tapping doesn't dodge, that's why your character does that sometimes. It's got me killed once or twice before I changed it to a specific button only. the other tip is you can scroll dialog options with your mouse instead of moving, again with the WASD keys being used for so much

  19. I will say, I played all three intros (so to speak). Nomad was nice but felt off for V. Street Kid felt right as it fits Vs personality more. However, playing as Corpo (even though none of this matters sadly) felt cool. It's not often you get a game where you can start at the top of the chain.
