  1. I've been playing it with a 4090 and it is incredible to look at, but there is still lots of noise issues in some areas. Some objects end up looking like a disco ball for a few seconds and some shadows look off while the denoiser kicks in. If this is remidied/optimised it would be perfect.

  2. Most PC gamers can’t afford 40 series cards so I can only hope game devs can optimize their games so we can get solid 60 fps on 30 series cards. I see a lot of upcoming games that are pushing the graphical limits but it doesn’t mean all that much if only an elite minority get to play these games at 60 fps+. Most gamers on Steam are still utilizing a GTX 1650 and the 3060 is on a steady incline in new hardware adoption. Game developers need to take this into account.

  3. As a 3D artist with decades of experience on how light behaves, I can see the huge progress along the way, but to say this path tracing is physically accurate, is still a huge exaggeration. This is still far from Octane path tracing and vray. The shadow quality is still day and night. Keep up the good work, NV!

  4. Fun fact: we will not see another game made with this engine. (The expansion excluded). Apparently the RED Engine is a complete nightmare to work with. So future Cyberpunk games will run on Unreal5 and up.

  5. Too bad its ruined by texture glitches until cdpr patches the game again. Things like wire fencing, car reflections and certain clothes get all distorted. As well as dlss being glitched since the last patch.

  6. DLSS and frame generation don't boost performance, one it's an upscaler and the other introduces fake fames. Each of them create artifacts that are more or less visible depending on the game.
