  1. I never saw any of the trailers, I kind of missed the whole game until after release and then it was so bugged I waited… I think until version 1.5 was out before buying it. But even with watching the trailer I admire your skill of deduction of the plot twists up until the landfill! 🙂

  2. One thing to keep in mind – you're not seeing what happened, you're seeing what Johnny wants you to see – which may or may not be what actually happened.

Also, thank you for paying attention – you're one of the only people I've seen who catches the date at the beginning of the flashback 😀

  3. Such a great episode!

It's great that the latest patch is out & hopefully you didn't have to experience the melee finisher bug. It looks like you may go for a knife/katana biuld & I'm here for it.

One of my favorite builds regardless of what kind of operating system you use.

Looking forward to the next episode.

  4. So, Satori is a katana and the counterpart to the knife you picked up. You can find it upstairs in tha AV in which Saburo arrived, however you can only do this before heading out the window trying to reach the ladder.

  5. Like with Jackie's death, I wish that an RPG like Cyberpunk would let you thread even the tiniest of needles for a different outcome, like "get from the top floor to the bottom in 5 mins" or something, but I guess in the end it's about development ressources.

  6. Soo idk if you read this NO SPOILERS but Satori is a iconic Katana arguably the best in the game that can be found at the top of the building. After T-bug gets caught, you could've gone up to the roof and it can be found in the AV.

  7. That scene in the clinic with Vik gets me everytime. Especially with the VAs' delivery. Scenes like that are exactly why I can never not pick female V.

I hadn't seen the trailer when I first played the game on launch, so I hadn't been spoiled on the heist ending. I do think that Jackie's death was fairly telegraphed, so I wasn't terribly surprised. Getting murdered by Dex was a shocker though lol.

As for your question about the censorship at the end. No, you are always wearing underwear bottoms outside of menus, despite being able to customize your genitals in the character creation screen. I'm sure there are mods to fix that though.

  8. Bruh, 3 throwing knives plus Sandevistan is literally my favorite build in this game after 1800 hours. The return time on them works out perfectly so you almost always have one return by the time you throw out the other 2. I love playing knife sniper and literally throwing a knife across the map from so far away I can take out an actual sniper with a headshot and no one even knows I'm there, sooo satisfying to drop a whole hoard of baddies stealthy with nothing but throwing knives.

  9. I just want to say that the female V voice actor is really good. Its segments like this that really show it. When V wakes up after being shot and has to confront what's happening to her the reaction is so real. Not to put down Gavin Drea but Cherami Leigh just has that something extra that connected with me.

  10. Great stuff Mapo! By the way, you'd probably be fine to watch Edgerunners at any point now and I don't think anything'll feel like a spoiler – might just give you some extra context on a couple of characters (eg Smasher)

  11. I think Jackie's character was a victim of this game's rushed development. I imagine his death would have taken place farther into the game. That 6 month montage was clearly cut content. I remember reading articles where CDPR said that they had to cut a huge chunk of the main story because it was way too long, and they wanted to tell a more concise story. Now we know they just were running out of time and they just axed the entire first act of the game.

  12. FWIW The Satori blade is found in Saburu's flying vehcile that is parked on the roof above Yorinobu's apartment. You can only get there after Yorinobu kills his father.

You know what is worse than Johnny being on the relic. If it was Jackie instead. Knowing that a strange personality is going to overwrite your existance, is one thing. But having a friend's personality might be much worse. Especially when the people around you might have different ideas to which personality they'd rather have survive.
Perhaps that was the original intent until they got Keanu

  13. No saving Jackie – it's an integral part of the story. If you're gpoing to kill a character early in the story – it's only good writing to make them likeable – won't work if it's someone you don't give a shit about.

  14. I believe Arasaka planned a different use for it. –
Johnny was just a random person they had saved and used for a test run.
The real application – as far as I would guess – would be to copy a living person on a shard – and then if that person dies – they could take over someones elses body. Basicly Immortality.

  15. Ohhhh…you didn't go to the roof of the hotel… You know you were picking up guns left and right as you exited the hotel? Yup…this game had one of the best WTF moments I've ever had in a game. What's impressive is the voice actor playing Rogue sounds both young and old depending on the era. In the Cyberpunk universe as envisioned by Mike Ponsmith, technology development was very different. Isn't all the unexpected GREAT?? Jump scare! I've played that drive with Takemura about 20 times and it's still a nailbiter. I don't have a wide knowledge of popular games…but if there is better voice acting and dialogue in a game, I find it hard to imagine. This whole sequence is amazing and appalling in the way it hits. Depressing? But wait…there's more! Yes, your junk would be out. I haven't really put this game down for two years. I need an intervention, I think…but it's great to experience it again vicariously for the first time.

  16. Man, I'm so here for this. You're one of the few people who really give me that old YouTube lets play feeling when watching, really great content. This game really made me feel things, it's all up from here brother. Keep at it!

  17. Scary thing is there are people into this very thing….the transhumanists, run by a trans woman called Martine Rothblatt. They want to upload their minds. The tech is off, but they’re already pushing for changes in society with regards to what is human, and hijacking the gay / trans community to change societies perspectives of humanity and biology and how you can be accepted a anything. Crazy stuff, but interesting to read. It’s cool to see this story explore this topic.

  18. It's clear by the trailer that we were supposed to play those 6 months at the beginning in the intro. V is also using mid game cyberwear such as the Mantis Blades. It would also make more sense for the duo to climb up their way in the ladder until they get to Dexter, which is supposed to be a high ranking fixer, not someone that deals with rookies.
