  1. At least this waiting has helped me learn what kind of game this is and it's a shame it's just not the kind of game I wanted. I wanted an immersive sim game not a GTA esque open world with fairly scripted missions but at least they stuck with it to fix it.
But I'm not buying this either way now it's still not good to support these companies putting out games very broken and GTA the triology it shows they don't learn so just like lootboxes I'm just not gonna support them.

  2. I recently bought it on Xbox digital for under $20. Waiting for the next gen update before I play it and I have no doubt it will be a great experience. Don’t buy games at release ladies and gents..

  3. I feel that I don't have a right to comment necessarily. I bought it day one on PC and put 170 hours in to the game and absolutely loved it. World was beautiful, tons to do and see, and the story had me interested. I think I rated it a 8.5/10. Would have been a 9.5 but there were several game crashes, trees turning to liquid, cars falling from the sky or popping in to run me over. But those glitches were not extremely frequent and I believe it crashed three times in 170 hours. If I started the game and noticed lots of bugs I would simply restart my pc, only takes 10 seconds, and get back in to the game without anymore issues. However my buddy playing on his XB1S was furious. So I don't have as much hate as the console gamers that got screwed. So I don't know what to think. I do know that all of their games have been buggy as hell and The Witcher 3 was a glitch fest! So maybe they didn't deserve the credit they were getting anyway. πŸ€”

  4. Steam score isnt like metacritic, i belive its just the last month reviews that count, your game can have 150.000 bad reviews but if in the last month you have 1000 reviews and 950 are positive you have a god score on steam.

  5. The Internet is full of loud noise and fury but people love underdogs… by trashing the hell out of something, they become the underdog again and people root for it to reverse the narrative… it's always the same thing.

  6. I now typically avoid all games marketed by Xbox.
    -Anthem
    -Fallout 76
    -Cyberpunk
-AC Valhalla (which was buggy on the Xbox Series X side, but worked flawlessly on the PS5)
Still waiting for that Halo Infinite Co-op mode, good thing it was "free" on Game Pass, it's almost like the studio lacked the funding to complete the game properly.

  7. I'm positive that cdprojekt red will be ok. This was a blck eye but, they will be ok once the game is actually done…. I know witcher 3 wasn't nearly as broken, but it still went through alot of growing pains…. and eneded up being favorite game ever…. I have cyberpunk waiting on my shelf for the official series x update…… whenever that is.

  8. let me put on my helmet and vest… Cyberpunk was actually a pretty good game. I played it on pc and yes it was buggy and over all unpolished but honestly still fun and good time for me. 76% of steam users agree.

  10. I feel like some of the after effect of No Man's Sky is actually going to be more negative than positive.
Hello Games didn't abandon the game, sure, but they screwed up EVERY opportunity to openly and honestly communicate with players, and they still got monumentally rewarded for it.
Both CDPR and Hello Games have established that the community is entirely too forgiving of impossibly unrealistic marketing, and while those two developers may fully intend on delivering the promised experience "Eventually", we can be certain that nearly all of the big publishers like Activision, EA, Ubisoft and Rockstar will fully leverage any opportunity to abuse consumer trust.

  11. The overall perspective has changed. The only people who are playing are the ones who were already fans of CDPR. You may see more positive because no one else is going to buy it. I guarantee their next project will be no where near the level of hype and optimism Cyberpunk had.

  12. Cyberpunk hasn't gotten the player base on their side. They're selling a TRIPLE A game for $9 after a year of fixing bugs. Yeah, a extremely cheap triple A game is a good deal. Positive rating. People haven't forget about them lying and misleading customers. That will never go away

  13. This whole situation is effectively the same as the one with No Man's Sky just half a decade ago. Those who remember remember, and others will never learn. Only this time we don't have TB to tell people to never pre-order video games.

  14. I kinda find it hilarious that someone had a superchat on the spawncast a few weeks ago that had the same concerns saying that CD Project Red got away with the launch of Cyperpunk and it might be a bad influence for the rest of the industry and they got ripped apart and even laughed at because CD Project Red lost so much money, share prices and reputation plus the class action lawsuit. I can't remember if John was one of them laughing at it though.

  15. once this game started to sell less than $20 then it became a hit on steam this is suppose to be a AAA GAME SMH IF this game originally launched at thay price would people have been like well its only $20 what do you expect

  16. I honestly loved cyberpunk at launch on ps4 and I want to get it on PC as well. I know they had dishonest marketing, but I wasn't following that closely. I just had a great overall experience despite some bugs

  17. I hate this so much. What incentive is there anymore for any company to actually release a finished game nowadays? Gamers have been brainwashed into accepting this shit, and as long as as you patch it into an acceptable state in like a year's time, everything is forgiven (remember that Witcher 3 was also a terrible experience at launch). And in this case, it's even worse, because this puny settlement actively encourages companies to deceive their customers about the product they're buying.

  18. I played through the game at Release, warts and all, on my PS5. I enjoyed the game – but I would never have recommended it at that point. It crashed probably once an hour as I earned the platinum.

I would absolutely say CD Projekt is getting off easy – hopefully it doesn't start a trend.

  19. It can't be a No Man's Sky situation, it's something completely different. The game on PC hasn't add any content since the day it got released. It's the same game with lots of bugfixes. It wasn't a terrible game to begin with (at least the PC version), but YouTube made it seem like it was broken and unplayable. A person who picks the game expecting a mess is going to be greatly surprise by the actual gameplay. That might be main the reason user reviews were higher than ever during the recent Steam sale.

And for me it's clear how the situation is going to affect CD Projekt Red. The next game they release it's going to face a legion of YouTubers ready to publish their own glitches compilation and negative reviews.
