The Crystal Palace is one of if not the most elusive location within the Cyberpunk series. It dates back to even the initial release of the TTRPGs that act as canon predecessors to 2077. It’s often described as “The Las Vegas of Space”, but what makes it so special?

  1. I like the idea of leaving it for Orion. I'd rather explore the other states first like Texas or Arizona. Hopefully Phantom Liberty is successful to the point where we could get another expansion before Orion drops.

  2. Maybe Crystal Palace is the beginning for Cyberpunk 2 ? Would be Amazing if they keep us on the Toes until the Last Update for Cyberpunk 2077 where we will find out this is the only way for V to survive and all Ending lead there ! And who know maybe V fuckes the Cystal Palace Heist up and gests Captured or gets a new (but from Crystal Palace Controlled) Body and used as Asset for Crystal Palace closly to the Angels/Smasher/Blackhand etc. ? Would make it "reasonable" why whe start from "Scrap" again if Cyperbunk 2 arrives and would make a Nice Story to see how Smaher and Blackhand feel as Weapons and Assets for a Company and our Target could it be to Escape once again?

  4. If CDPR does do the crystal palace for the next game it would be cool to get a different character the story of V is done with in 2077 and V shouldn’t be the center of this universe even though they’re extremely OP solo

  5. Can you explain what Johnny meant “they were looking for her (Alt) in the crystal palace, when she was building the Ghost City for Kang Tao”. What is Ghost City?

  6. Quility vid choomba. I agree theres little chance we as players go to the crystal palace yet. Monetarily speaking it also doesnt make since. When the next game is named Orion. Makes a lot of since to have an Interstellar AI conflict. Like Neuromancer, just more chrome and neon. Using the crystal palace as like go between. To just toss out the great hanging Space Chandelier, like here you go. After all the hype, that would be pretty stupid as a franchise move. Cyberpunk is finally back on its feet, hope that arent that gonk. Though been we've all been surprised before. Never trust a Corpo, am i right my chooms?

  7. I wish for the secret ending to become the canon and be expanded via full expansion happening solely in Crystal Palace. If the player makes all the right choices (which are not obvious at the moment of taking them), they can get the cure from Biodyne and survive. (As long as he keeps living ON THE EDGE, getting enough eddies for the monthly nanite treatment (I think it was 700 000 eddies / month)

  8. I would love to go to the Crystal Palace too, but I agree that it doesn’t seem to fit in to the story. I think the fancy place we meet Songbird in is the Lonely Hearts Club in Dogtown.

  9. Not too far off in calling the Crystal Palace the Las Vegas in space, considering that within the same state lies one of the most infamous and secretive places on earth. Area 51.
Maybe there’s a reason why it’s next to impossible to get in and all the shiny casinos and resorts are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the Crystal Palace’s true purpose.

  10. I've always been a massive space nerd and I've always hated how writers invent magic artificial gravity tech when it's actually not that hard to simulate gravity, spin a big ring or drum or just be under constant acceleration from your thrusters.

  11. Wow. Just wow.
Choom, you know the world we live in.
I'm just glad I've got to be part of this slightly better world braindance, where it's all just a very deep game world.

  12. I concur. I think the Crystal Palace would be the focus of an expansion or a sequel full game.
It’s the endgame location in the series. My guess as an avid TTRPG player is it’s left vague so the game master has 100% creative control of its use.
    Great Macguffin for example.

  13. Absolutely won't be in Phantom Liberty. I think you're spot on that it's either never going to be revealed or it will be in a much, much later future expansion or maybe even other game centered in space. It's too much to just have us run around in a multi-level space city as a dlc

  14. The biggest mystery is-what's V going after that requires they enter the station in such a dangerous way. Instead of flying to the station on Orbital Air, under cover. And, what's the MacGuffin?
