  1. For me “epic exclusive” means the same to me as “early access”.
Basically ignore it for 12-18 months and likely only but it in a sale because at that point it’s long ago lost my sense of launch urgency.

  2. I gotta write it here once more…
So did you guys noticed in Rings of Power ep.4 that when Adar first speaks to black elf, their conversation is almost word for word as Brando's & Martin Sheen's first dialogue in Apocalypse Now ?
" Where are you from ( born ) ? Beleriand ( Ohio ) .. How far from the river ? I went down that river once, when I was young " … etc. . Adar even mentions a field of blossoming flowers just like Brando…
So… the authors have either plagiarised or made hommage / easter egg. I don't know which is lamer. Imagine one of them had an idea : " Hey let's do a dialogue like Kurtz & Willard from Apocalypse Now " "Wooooow !! Yeaaaah !! …..Kind of lame to put it in the work derived from JRR Tolkien if it was an easter egg…disrespectful even….

  3. I like how neither Arch nor Kibs actually tried or got close to finishing Cyberpunk 2077 but badmouth the story as being bad… same story they both admittedly quit at the very start. Like don't get me wrong, you can say that the game's story wasn't engaging, sure, but you can't say it's bad because you literally haven't experienced it to any meaningful capacity to actually judge.

It becomes extra funny when you realize that David's and V's stories are extremely similar, and they will condemn one while praising another for exact same reasons.

Love it when people who criticize things for a living don't actually know what they're talking about <3

  4. Cyberpunk demo/prequel/teaser-version/low-cost-test-build (look up the half life 1 demo, there are games worse than that demo) should have been the story of silver hand and gang in the proper era. Nothing else. Ends on captured/death by in game overwhelming odds via a foolish attack thought possible via corpo plans.
Cyberpunk 2 the origin story of V and Jackie, ends in their heist, then you meet Jonny mnemonic just as Jackie dies in your arms (after a full game of rising into the ranks of upcoming mercs able to pull off big jobs).
Cyberpunk 3 should have been “the future” writ clans in the current piece of glitch-ware with the waifus, B dealing with fallout from their trusted partner/negotiator being dead while also having a burned out terrorist ducking with their already crjnvling life and need to hit get Merced by a VERY pissed of corp (but maybe there dive new friends to make from once indifferent enemies of enemies.

Every game on basically the same map but 1-2 should be a time skip so connective systems and services change locations massively.
2-3 is the same city but once safe areas are now death traps and former no-go areas may open up if you lay your cards right. Make it dangerous but profitable.

But no the emotional stuff was rushed, the quest lines about a Keanu throwaway character and the setting is less fleshed out than even vice city or deus ex 1 hong king.

  5. Ok look, studio trigger makes spank bait. We know were getting spank bait. I watch it for goofy bs and spank bait. Darling in the franx is borderline cuck spank bank material. and the only way to make it better is if main charecter ended up emotionally broken as every woman he wanted finally found their alfa chad to pair off and he was left the looser he is, but yea. The advertise spank bait, the produce spank bait, the sell me spank bait. There is nothing wrong here.

  6. Kibs makes an error here when he talks about the music for Cyberpunk.
All the music in the game was made brand spanking new and original for the game, so none of the songs was carried over from our real life world.
Now you could argue that they didn't put in enough of an effort to make something that felt truly futuristic and perhaps that is true.
But if you think about it a lot of the music they play on the radio today is 20-30-40 or even 50 years old already, with many a rock band having 40 or 50 year careers at this point.
The Samurai rock tracks are all supposed to have been recorded in the 2020's according to the in-game lore for instance.
And then there are things like the radio channel that plays death metal and black metal, two genres of music that essentially hasn't changed in any meaningful way in almost 30 years.

  7. I’d take a half life 2 Alyx AI over many a human random pretty much any day of the week.
Humans rush games do dumb shit and will go obsessive compulsive over the weirdest shit, an AI companion when we’ll made will talk just enough amusing shit to even make a fishing mini game tolerable at odd hours of the day without interfering with your farm let alone providing active and mostly not-stupid-support when in environments that would otherwise be poorly suited for 1 vs many combat scenarios.

  8. Tbf i watched that anime on nonce flix while nursing my kid… It hypes and gives a nostalgia trip for the game, bigly. That is, nostalgia for when we all thought the game would be amazing.

    You're amazing!
    No you're amazing!
Yea… I've played the game now, im deffo closer to amazing than the game.

  9. There is an ending that ALMOST is a good ending. IMO that one should have ended with you able to get thrown back into the character creator and then released back into night city as you left it for the post game.

  10. It really pisses me of how nowadays you seemingly cannot put a short character into your animated show without everybody morally panicking and calling it a "loli". I'd at least understand where the objections are coming from if they were depicting actual children being blatantly sexualized, but 99% of the time the moral outrage is about absolutely effing nothing. Half the time it's not even a child character, just a short person. Another half the time when it's an actual underaged character nothing questionable even happens to them…

Case in point: Edgerunners. Rebecca (the short girl) isn't even presented in the show as a kid, she clearly acts like an adult. As far as I remember we don't know how old she even is, but she's clearly just a short person, the show even jokes about her height in one scene by her being kept out of the bar because people think she's still a kid. Plus, this is Cyberpunk, it's not unheard of she just made herself really small for some reason. But, let's say for the sake of the argument she's actually underage, what about it? Beca isn't sexualized in any way, she's just a cheerful bonkers lady that likes shooting guns all through the show, she's probably the least feminine female character in the show as a matter of fact. So, the fact that CDPR actually raised an objection as for her inclusion is absolutely ridiculous and I have no idea what was going through the head of whoever was dumb enough to think this was a bad idea. I'm glad Studio Trigger told them to piss off, Rebecca is a great character and she absolutely stole some of the scenes she was in.

  11. Man I could forgive cyberpunk 2077 if it was just mediocre. But it was BROKEN, I have a i9-10850k , GTX3090, 64gigs of ram , high end fast SSDs annnnnnnd the game would constantly have texture pop ins and other graphics issues.

And let’s not even start about how EVERYTHING from the story to the missions to the mechanics ALL OF IT felt halfway done.

and short as hell. I accidentally! Got to the point of no return in the story simply by playing a few side missions and then a main mission to keeps things mixed up….. it caught me so off guard that I was allready at the end and ddt feel like I really did anything that I just stopped playing the game and haven’t felt like touching it ever again.

Such an amazing setting WASTED on a broken game. Props to the art team tho WHEN the game wasn’t bugging out the game at full max settings with max ray tracing was BEAUTIFUL

  12. Player count doesn't matter. Sales matter. That count will be up 300% now, and then it'll go down in a month or two. It's a SINGLEPLAYER game, not an MMO. Success won't be measured in player count. That's what these journos don't understand.

  13. I very much enjoy how I'm in a minority when it comes to this fandom; as I did not like Rebecca at all. I found her obnoxious and felt she in no way fit into Cyberpunk's aesthetic, unlike the other characters of the anime. And would not be surprised if it turned out she was one of the creators original waifus they wanted to shove into the anime.

  14. Thumb down on this one. Saying Cyberpunk is mediocre is some of the heaviest fucking BS I have heard in a long time. The soundtrack alone makes it already a good game.

  16. I would rather bet on CDPR making another game in witcher setting, maybe in times wher both witchers and monsters were plenty and you can make your own new witcher? That would be very elder – scrollsy:D

  17. 3:33 Honestly I liked the premise that my main character doesn't survive my involvement… and then the character did, because I took the best ending: Leaving the "more bullet holes than meat" sack to the old musician and gleefully running off as immortal cyber-entity with his ex.
