► Cyberpunk 2077 Story Synopsis

Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis
obsessed with power, glamour and body modification. You play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. You can customize your character’s cyberware, skillset and playstyle, and explore a vast city where the choices you make shape the story and the world around you.

  1. Mr blue eyes was the one that was looking at you while you were speaking to Peralez I think he will be a key character that will help V save her life in dlc. Some people say its an AI using a meat puppet others say its Morgan Blackhand using a meat puppet but nothing is certain about him and those blue eyes as you observed indicate connection so he is 100% controlled by someone.

  2. Thank you for this playthrough. A wonderful game, but not perfect. I think they should have been more brave with how they build the narrative.

For me the endings just feel week, all of them crammed together, and you just have to choose which path to take. The Panam ending with CorpoFemV felt the most out of pace. I feel the game shouldn't make it possible to build that much rapport with the Aldecados unless you started as a Nomad, and the good ending should only be possible for players romancing Panam and thus officially becoming a member of the family.

What could have worked instead is to raise the stakes higher right from the beginning. Make the shard literaliy kill you in 10 ingame days. Instead of this build you fame in the City bullshit, give the player a ticking bomb in their head, and make them rush to find a solution. And die and die again in the process. Hell, even make Johnny take over the body and kill V if certain dialoge choices play out that way. You want to become heavy weight champion of this city? Sure, waste a life on achieving that dream. But then you die. Want to go to bed with Judy and save the dolls in the Clouds? Ok, but it won't end well for you or her when the timer runs out. Arasaka quest line? Takemura won't even trust a Nomad or a Streetkid.

That also solves a lot of issues with the weapon and enemy scaling that was already problematic back in the witcher 3: In the beginning if you go into a place that you're not supposed to the high lvl enemies oneshot you, and everything feels week in the endgame. If you reset the game every 10 days or so it frees up the player to go wherever they want, and you don't have to guess enemy strength, it's enough populate a location with more enemies to make it harder. It could also make the gangs more dinamic with real hard coded gang sizes and gang wars that you can partake it, or manipulate in the background. Hell, you could even make that Romeo and Juliet questline have a real outcome, instead of some random notes you find.

And most of all: this deus ex ending with you dying in under half a year because the chip made your body into Johhny, and now we can't make a new chip to overwrite that change is just dumb. I think it's because CDPR is setting up a DLC, but still. Calling major bullshit.

I'm sad, because I see the love and effort they put into the game. An outstanding game, but failed to deliver on its potential.

(Yes, it is Groudhog day in game form. deal with it 🙂

  3. 23:06 right on, I'm not sure I like penthouse-dwelling one-percenter V. has V become part of the Night City machine, or does she intend to shut it down? hope we learn more in DLC. (* but considering the sketchiness of MBE, it's not looking good)

but before she goes out in a blaze of glory, I'm glad this version of Velonz accomplished all she set out to do in Night City: redecorate the bathroom and get rid of the dangly things

  4. She gets what she wants. From the very beginning she was risking her life just to become a big shot, as you noticed. There's no happy rosy ending for wicked, I guess.

  5. Most people who played the game and watched all the endings declare that Panam's one is the most optimistic for V, since it's the only ending where she is presented with a chance of survival.

But is it, though? Think about what the Aldecaldos promise V: they say V's going to be successfully treated by some doctors literally located in a middle of a desert. An Arasaka clinic having so much money spent on it that it's literally located in space – no way to help V. Viktor, one of the best rippers in town – no, can only give V some medicals to make her feel better on the early stages, nothing more. A wonderful, modern and probably expensive clinic in Sweden – they can only help with the pain on the terminal stages. All of the doctors and rippers a Queen/King of the Afterlife can afford – nope. And some friends of the Aldecaldos will help? Seriously?

And now I recommend looking closely at this ending. The client for the job is Mr Blue Eyes himself, clearly the same guy that controlled/worked for people who controlled Peralez. In other words, he works for/rules some group of people (and yes, everyone who watched YouTube videos on the theme of Peralez knows it's Night Corp) who know how to accurately overwrite synaptic pathways in the brain, and are even using this knowledge for their own purposes.

And why is V dying, exactly? The game gives a really poor explanation of some "DNA reconfiguration" (honestly, no idea what has DNA got to do with the Relic), but we know it's mainly about rewriting information in the brain. Maybe a more accurate approach at rewriting it – more accurate than Arasaka's – is exactly what V needs to be cured?

Besides, it makes no sense for V to even do the job if her survival is not what Mr Blue Eyes promised. She's surely got significantly more money than she would need for the 6 months of her life. The only thing that Mr Blue Eyes could have promised is survival, and he even mentions it in the Afterlife.

I don't believe the Aldecaldos can help V. They can make the last 6 months of V's life be the best ever – that's for sure. But Mr Blue Eyes and Night Corp's help is what V needs to survive past this timeline.

  6. I wonder if you had enough "Johnny points" to get the secret ending people have mentioned to you, i heard a few people say you didn't have enough points but it would be worth a shot to test. Remember, it's picking the rogue option with Johnny, then choosing not to say anything while apparently looking at the gun at the table and Johnny for ~4 minutes.

  7. Welonz I was driving around Night City today and heard some corporate propaganda annoucment that went like this " Rumors of people being abducted by unmarked AVS have been proven false we respect your rights" So Garry the prophet isnt the only one that got abducted as corporations are trying to cover this up.

  8. Honestly, I saw this as the best ending possible in the game. You've got six months left to live, and this ending gives you a shot at being remembered above all the other legends. Plus your allies have the most resources. They're the best shot at extending your lifespan. Definitely seeing it as the best chance for V, full stop.

  9. This is interesting! When I was piloting Johnny across the bridge to go with Alt into cyberspace, my V was aggressively and violently trying to stop me. She even tried kicking Johnny's ass, demanding he honor their deal and save himself. As a side note, I always assumed that with all the things V has done, the only way V could have effectively left Night city was how they did it in the Aldecaldo epilogue. Their rep keeps them semi-safe as a legend of Night City, but Arasaka would likely be monitoring the borders for a departing, defenseless V.

  10. I think the game takes a cue from you on this one. I admitted right away that I was dying. Didn't change Judy's choice to leave Night City. It didn't change the bitter-sweetness of Judy escaping NC without me. And since we both romanced Judy, I don't know how the River outcome would have changed these. Maybe, if V picked this ending and was with River, it would be a better ending for them as a couple? And if V left with the Aldecados, would she have left River behind?

  11. 1:45 it is interesting that meatspace seems preferable to cyberspace for the characters. Especially given that both are engrams and the specter of death via the 'transfer' process is the same, whether the upload is to a body or the Net. The prospect of joining with Alt is a different matter, but is not addressed much, specifically.

~9:00 your mission is to take a shower. I've felt like that some days.

35:00 Lagrange point – where gravities of celestial bodies cancel each other out. I guess as close as it gets to true weightlessness.

…kind of a buzzkill of an ending. A lot of build-up for something that doesn't happen.

  12. My canon for this ending is rather simple. The Aldecados have the contacts, family, resources and know-how to find a possible way to help V. On the other hand, V needs to find a way to help herself. Which she may or may not be able to do. But the last job is, somehow, a step towards her doing just that. It's very clear she's not exactly happy. Just trying to survive.
