Hey Folks,
Happy Holidays from the Pacific Northwest! I wanted to let you all know I'm doing some testing on video formats for the next couple of days. I'll be posting this in the comments on each video until the testing is done, so everyone is aware of what's going on.
Essentially, I have been getting requests for many months to add new ideas and change some things about the format, but given my work schedule, there was no way to put thought into it. I just kept focusing on showcasing the games running on the Steam Deck. That was then and this is now, I, unfortunately, have more time on my hands as of last Wednesday, and I am focusing all my attention on the channel for the foreseeable future (At least until companies are working from their 2023 budgets *Crossing Fingers*).
The first major request was to compare more graphic settings for each game. I tested this on The Callisto Protocol video here: https://youtu.be/ehlsRQ0Z64k and the video had a great response, so this makes sense, but that was also a brand new game, so it may have been skewed. I'm going to test it on videos all this week and see if it's helpful. The reason why I have made it a separate video is my analytics tell me 80% of viewers are only watching the first 2 minutes of the game videos, and they likely would miss the settings test.
The second major request was to showcase more gameplay without the full Performance Metrics panel covering 1/3 of the screen. There was also a smaller request to see what a direct feed video looks like instead of filming the deck playing the game from above. I combined these two into another video that will come out later today. This again is a separate video since I can't record a separate video screen while playing the game on the device and filming the normal perspective at the same time.
I wanted everyone to know that all of the feedback you provide is not falling on deaf ears. I appreciate everyone that watches and provides feedback along with everyone who just watches and may never comment at all. I even appreciate the trolls and the haters, since they provide the comic relief for me, but they also have their own requests which I do actually consider like the choice of glove colors, clickbait titles, and how I manicure my fingernails.
Regardless, again, I appreciate everyone that comes to this channel. I hope it provides something for you and that you'll continue to watch and help it grow 🙂
Thanks Again!
