It took 3 years for cyberpunk to reach this state. Starfield is going to be the way it is til the end of time. A streamer ran into the merchant chest bug/exploit. The same one from skyrim. The one that Bethesda never fixed. Modders fixed it. I honestly would take launch cyberpunk over starfield. I enjoyed the story more, the characters more, the world more. And I had more hope that cdpr would fix things than bethesda.
The devs at CDPR take the trophy, but the marketing doesn't.
Now, we have to acknowledge that Cyberpunk 2077, in its current state, is probably better than all but a couple games in 2023. Had it released this year, it would've been easily in the discussion for GOTY.
Let's hope CDPR learns that it's better to release later, and in a better state. Let's also hope that Larian is seen as an example of that. Yes, Act 3 is problematic, but the game was more solid than almost any other current AAA release.
marketing really got luke in a chokehold this year. the "new" cyberpunk is still nowhere close to advertised and is a glorified patch update that they're charging you for. Meanwhile starfield is getting crucified over hype that you helped perpetuate. be serious.
Cyberpunk is one of the craziest games I’ve ever played from the writing to the character to the setting and the combat shits wild af yeah should have launched recently not 3 years ago but you guys gota get over it just go buy PL so they will make a gta online of cyberpunk and CDPR can cover off some of that lawsuit cost. You guys are gonna make them not wanna make more DLC for the game just chill out and buy the new DLC its worth it
Everyone still hates on cyberpunk due to the launch even though it's the gaming communities fault that it launched that way due to them threatening to kill the devs and Investors every single day.
the thing is, as bad as it was at launch, the story/writing has always been great. So if you're a sucker for narative heavy games, it was already a good game at launch.
Now they have the gameplay and polish to support the story.
I’ve personally got a ton of crashing issues when fast traveling to anywhere in the main part of night city and sometimes just generally being in the main part of Night City but once I narrow down what mod or whatever is causing it I think Cyberpunk is better right now, but mostly just because of how Bethesda does their weapons and especially uniques. Once mod support comes out and I can get my hands on weapons that feel more unique and interesting from the generally bland Bethesda made weapons I’ll probably enjoy Starfield a lot more, not that I’m not already enjoying Starfield but it’d be more fun with weapons that do more unique things and/or have recoil patterns that aren’t copied exactly from Fallout 4.
I’m just sad because when I played at release it had game breaking bugs. Keycards and quest item I needed would glitch out of the map. It’s sad i would have had to hold onto this game for 3 years for it to be worth playing
It didn't take three years. Took about six months to iron out the huge issues and most bugs. However it was still wrong to launch the game in that state, especially on consoles. Cyberpunk was totally playable on PC day one. It had issues but was overall just fine, no different than a standard Bethesda title. I played on three different PC machines. Additionally it was heavily patched within six months, and after edge runners 1.5 years after launch the game was totally playable and fine. Claiming three years is BS.
I'll take current cyberpunk over starfield. I didn't even play cyberpunk before 2.0. Starfield has been a letdown.
Sorry starfield sucks ass.
Imagine what starfield can be when it has the same amount of time cyberpunk had to polish
For me starfield is boring as hell. Played for a couple days then haven’t gone back

Hey that was me lol

Cyberpunk has such a better story that rips your heart out at the end and also, no loading screans every 10 seconds
Cyberpunk taking 3 years to get good just means you can now get a full high quality experience for $25 instead of $60

It doesn’t matte today how it was when it started. What matters now is the current state of
what does this guy provide to society
If u want to know what happened to CDPR marketing just go to the comments section.
Id still take cyberpunk at launch 9ver starfield
Both bb
I had to quit Starfield (streaming on gamepass/Xbox one) bc it was so laggy and unplayable. Currently loving my second cyberpunk playthrough.
So your telling me I need to give cyberpunk another shot eh…
Can’t compare the two
CYBERPUNK was fixed on update 1.5 on Feb 2022 not after three years ! 1.5 was a massive update with ton of fixes
Chat GPT could’ve wrote better dialogue than the Starfield writers 😭😭😭
Starfield doesn't even compare 😂

Agreed, I dropped starfield instantly with 2.0
It had more actual content. It feels like I'm playing a rich world unlike emptyfield

I like them both just as much

Even cyberpunk 1.0 is far better than shitfield
Weird comparison considering how they are totally different games
Depends if you want to play more of an RPG or an action RPG game

Man the witcher soundtrack is so timeless, what a fucking masterpiece
And to be fair Cyberpunk ran great prior to 2.0
