Should You Buy Cyberpunk 2077 in 2022?

After all the updates thats been released over the past year and a half i wanted to take one final look at Cyberpunk 2077 to see if CdProjektRed finally delivered on what was promised over a decade ago.

This is my third review on cyberpunk 2077 and will be my last unless something major happens in a year or two.

I really wanted to see if the gameplay of Cyberpunk 2077 was improved as much has many others were saying plus it was a good excuse to experience the story of Cyberpunk 2077 one last time before i put it down for good for a long time.

Cyberpunk 2077 for me has been a rollercoaster over the last few years, i have gone from really liking it to thinking it’s just mediocre to then really loving it again.

I constantly go back and forth on whether Cyberpunk 2077 is actually worth buying especially now it’s been out for almost two years.

Its one of those games that can leave you feeling completely different on each playthrough and i think i have found a balance of this which is why this is my final review.

Cyberpunk 2077 released in a absolutely awful state full of bugs broken mechanics and overall was just an absolute mess but under that i found a game I really enjoyed but is Cyberpunk 2077 actually worth buying in 2022?

How does the gameplay of Cyberpunk 2077 feel in 2022 after numerous updates after launch?

Is the gameplay any better or is it worse?

Has Cyberpunk 2077 been updated enough to be worth playing in 2022?

These are the questions i hope to answer in todays review.

This is my Cyberpunk 2077 review in 2022.

  1. Maybe it's because I played before the 1.5 patch that improved a lot of things (in my opinion), but I think the game offers a hell of a lot and I've had a hard time leaving after upgrading my GPU. More ways to actually enjoy the city in between gigs is something I hope we get one day, but I know I'll be playing more tonight.

  2. After launch and how much of the game was cut, I will maybe wait to play this until the DLC comes out. Thankfully Dark Souls games can keep you busy for like 100+ hours and still be mid game

  3. Short answer : No

    Long answer: Absolutely not
This game at launch was and still is a broken buggy glitchy half baked terrible excuse for a game and is unacceptable for something like this to have been released
Most of you weren't around for the hype of this game and when it came out the disappointment we all felt can't be fixed

  4. As much as I hate the constant raid barrage across YouTube, big congrats on your first (I think) video with a sponsor! I’ve been here since before you had 1k subs and your growth has been phenomenal!

  5. To me the whole universe of Cyberpunk 2077 feels like the sort of setting that would be parodied in a Rick and Morty episode as a sort of showcase of all the stereotypical cyberpunk tropes. Its like CDPR put 40 years of the cyberpunk media, stuffed it into a blender and just put it into this sort of weird soulless shell without any sort of distinct vision or voice. The whole retro 80s aesthetic, oversexualization, Asian essentialism, performative anti-capitalism, and all of these other prominent features of the cyberpunk genre just feels its all plopped into the game as if they were running through a checklist.

  6. Game goes better and better with each patch. What I like to see is more realism to be honest-cars should get way more damage as they are now, some sort of garage where you can fix and modify you car, police chases, less futuristic guns/rifles…and at least co-op…Now that would make this game just awsome 🤘

  7. I think the game honestly has improved it’s not perfect but it’s a lot enjoyable and it’s not as bad as it used to be at launch now that we have the next GEN upgrades it’s a lot better

  8. I played it on launch for a few hours and put it down because of all the technical issues. I was really bummed but decided to wait until it was in a much better state. Picked it up again after 1.5 and I’m absolutely loving it, more so than I was expecting too. Maybe it just scratches the itch I have for a looter shooter type RPG at the moment.

  9. For the Add / Sponsors that u show, I think u should add a feature if possible so that they can be skipped as no one ever watches them and just fast forwards them anyways making them pointless.

I know why u show them so that u are getting cash to be able to carry on producing these Fantastic Videos and for that I am highly greatfull👍😁.

Adds Are A Pain In The Ass Though LOL

  10. It's a great game I prefer this over GTA 5, but I hope they improve the police system like chases the current game is lacking you have really no consequences breaking the law in this game, drive two blocks problem solve. Improve the AI when it comes to vehicles it's pretty linear pathways, one object block traffic and the city is frozen in time. The metro system needs work, add android npc into the game and why can't you fly any vehicles in this game or even NPCs driving motorcycles they need to add that to.

  11. Agree with all of this.

One additional comment, If you don't have a stronger PC or next gen console, then it's a good experience on stadia.

I wouldn't go pro level or anything, and £50 is a bit steep, but if you see it in a sale, I'd go for it.

I played in in Jan 21, on stadia and loved it
