Should you buy Cyberpunk 2077?

Cyberpunk 2077 released a year ago and has had many patches and updates to try and fix the mess that cyberpunk 2077 was when it released.

This video is a sequel to my should you buy Cyberpunk 2077 review back in June so I’m really excited to talk to you guys about the improvements or lack there off now it’s been a full year and let me tell you, I am actually
quite impressed with how Cyberpunk 2077 performs right now on pc.

Cyberpunk 2077 has been a controversial topic for a year now but is Cyberpunk 2077 really that bad?
Is Cyberpunk 2077 worth buying a year later with all the new patches?

  1. I've played for a few hours on xbox one haven't had any problems except for some times npcs taking a second to load up, I didn't like the hacking in this game at all, I really hope there's another deus ex game

  2. I got it for $10 from Best Buy, and have been playing it on PS5. I haven't had any bugs other than graphical in around 30 hours of play time. I've been playing it as a shooter first, and as an RPG second, and I love it so far.

  4. I just bought it few days ago, I love it so far!
About 16 hours in, I didn't encounter too many graphical bugs so far but there were some audio compatibility issues that I had to fix, better optimisation is much needed and I did encounter some AI bugs many times.
But I absolutely love the world design, The city is so incredibly full of detail and feels lively. Art direction is some of the best I've seen. Overall the environment is just amazing and doesn't feel empty at all, it is full of stuff to do. Almost makes you wish this kind of place existed in real life. On the other hand, Combat is not the best, melee combat is especially janky. Police and other AI are quite bad. There are too may gimmicks, too many unnecessery mechanics. The beginning of the game is very slow, but 5-6 hours in, the game picks up and gets much better. The player also eventually gets the hang of it. The story and characters are great too.

I think it is totally worth playing and it is sad that because of the rough launch, the game doesn't get much attention now. Is it the best open world RPG? Nope, But it's still a really good game, with a theme that is not seen much in this genre. A nice change of pace.

  5. Got Cyberpunk 2077 a few weeks ago as 1.31 point release for PC. The reasons I got it were ….
1.) I've heard lotsa negative stuff about that game. (Annotation: Any publicity is good publicity.) [P.S.: For some masochistic reason I like software that has more bugs than a 'Roach-Motel'; 'It's not a bug, it's feature.']
2.) There's people out there making really cool mods for this game.
3.) I've always been into stuff like Blade Runner, (especially) Shadowrun, etc. and of course Cyberpunk; both last mentioned as PnP.
Actually I'm only ~ 20 hours into the game and haven't experienced any crucial bugs yet. My PC is ~ 6 year old i7-5960X, no overclocking, 64 GB RAM (was originally set up and built for audio processing as a Studio-PC, which means as silent as possible with most power I could afford back then in a 19"-form-factor; therefore not big fat GPU needed). ~ 2 years ago I replaced the Matrox GPU with a Radeon 7 and started to use it for gaming along audio-processing.

  6. No amount of patches to gameplay can fix the horrible plot decisions CDPR made. The game needs a complete rewrite.
The game had great potential, and it's worth around $40 purely for visuals and playtime…but it will forever be a huge disappointment and missed opportunity in my eyes.

Edit: Came back to make one point regarding stealth. If you concentrate on hacking, it is busted strong. So, in many ways it is the best "stealth" build. With legendary ping, you can highlight entire buildings of enemies, and take them all out without ever setting foot inside the building. At least that's how it was last December, when I played the game last.

  7. I love the game thus far. I have had two crashes to desktop out of nowhere but it oddly saved the game about where I was both times. I am guessing there is a memory leak perhaps because it happens after playing for a long time. Performance is amazing though. Maxed out settings with ray tracing and it is smooth as butter.

  8. It is one of the best rpg / action games, the quality of the scripts, missions, sets / art, action, fx, music, everything in general is overwhelming. Even with bugs, it is a beast, the main plot and even the secondary missions catch you and put you in the atmosphere of this futuristic city.

  9. No. Hell no. Nope nope nope. God I hate the movement to now pretend this game is "actually pretty good and underrated". Way to fucking stand up for yourself gamers. This is exactly why companies keep releasing literally unfinished, pre-alpha games. Because it fucking works.

  10. Well I'm sorry to inform you that the PlayStation 5 is did so badly in performance that even the Xbox kicks its ass and loading time and that's why a few months ago PlayStation Developers at Sony announce that they're working on a PlayStation 6 because of the lack of sales of the PlayStation 5 and the level of unsatisfactory PlayStation 5 was never worth the money
