NOTE – This test was conducted in the press release version of the game for FPS testing with Frame Generation and DLSS 3 (which are not out yet for the general public). I’ve noticed that performance is a bit lower than the retail version.

Testing the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 24GB GPU in CP2077 at 2 resolutions, using the ultra, high and max (ray tracing) settings, with and without DLSS and FG.

  1. Hey guys! Note about the performance in this video:

As I've seen many of you asking why the performance was low compared to other videos, I looked into it and found that the press release version of the game (with DLSS 3 and FG) is actually more intensive than the current retail build that everyone can play at the moment.

I got aroud 5-10+ more fps on the retail version than the version I tested in this video, even under 99% GPU usage on both.

  2. Something strange is here… there are no people on the streets, there are no heavy traffic. Just look at 15:50, its a complete ghost town, but hes driving one of the most heaviest area in the game and with that he got only 100 fps with FG maxed out settings. Crowd density maybe is at the lowest possible setting…I already own a 4090, im really looking forward to dlss3 in CP, but I have a feeling that this update going to be a massive letdown and the game will perform bad.

  3. I gotta be honest here, raytracing doesn’t do Cyberpunk any favors. It’s really hard to even tell if it’s working unless you run over to a window and look for reflections. I run my 3090 ti without raytracing and in my opinion it looks the same but with benefit of high fps. 4090 does kill it when it comes to raytracing. This card will be worth it in couple years when we get some new games with unreal engine 5. Until my 3090 ti starts smokin I’ll wait for games to catch up a little

  4. MF stolen police car lol. Too bad, you can't own police car in Cyberpunk. Also no logic in terms of: you can get set of Trauma by killing traumas, but you cant get set of police by killing officers. You can hack Trauma and with techtronic(correct me if im written wrong name of deck) you can turn 2 traumas in two cyberpsychos, while you cant do same with police staff lol.

However, Cyberpunk is a cool rpg game, ngl, really liking the story.
