The RX 7900 XTX has RTX 3090 Ti like performance in Cyberpunk 2077 with Ray Tracing Ultra Settings. It was very funny reading comments saying the 7900 XTX cant do Ray Tracing, or that it's slower than an RTX 3080 lol.

Yep, sounds about right – depending on the engine and the game, AMD is half to a full generation behind Nvidia when it comes to RT. That said, UE5 implementation of RT (and UE5 is shaping up to be a dominant next-gen engine) is much more interesting as performance difference is, apparently, much smaller (still in favor on Nvidia, but it's like 10-15% or so).
Also, considering that Cyberpunk is an Nvidia-sponsored game with an engine that is heavily optimized for RTX architecture, AMD's flagship being on par with 3090 Ti is actually quite good. I mean, I don't hear people saying that 3090 Ti is bad at RT. 🙂

cd project red fortunately for AMD abandoned its engine in favor of ue5.

This comparison is actually unfair.
First of all u are using an Intel CPU for the Nvidia part and an amd CPU for the Radeon part.
Secondly u are using a ddr5 ram for the 3090 ti and a ddr4 for 7900xtx.
According to some benchmark the 7900 xtx should perform better than the old Nvidia Ampere architecture.
Whats the score in 4k for the average fps with your 4090 🙂 ?
